I'm looking for an audio duplicate finder that looks at the audio fingerprint-like Shazam does for my local files to find duplicates. Is there such a thing? I have sononym but it's real real slow and doesn't work exactly like what I'm thinking.

Well not sure if I understood your question right but Sounds like what algonaut Atlas does. It's made for analyzing your drum samples and find - not exactly duplicates - but Similar Sounds. So it sorts for example snares and places them next to similar sounding ones. At least thats what I remember. Never really used it but maybe it is what you're looking for :)

Have you tried ADSR Sample Manager? I have found several duplicates of samples that I had in other folders. Of course it might get slow because of the amount of samples you can have

Dupeguru (free) has a music mode. There's also paid programs.

The Godfather (freeware) has the duplicate feature:
Edit: I'm not sure it does spectrum analysis, maybe just from tag, II'll try.
ReEdit: unfortunately it doens't, no spectrum analysis.
However, every sw seeking similar spectrum duplicates take a large amonut of time, depending on the number of files, no way out.

XO could potentially be the nicest sampler library utility ever. If it didn't suck at almost every single last function. They should retitle it "It does, but" v2.

I tested it with 3 mp3, 2 identical with different tags, 1 recoded with different tag, it doens't work, it's more or less like Clonespy64, very powerful but for other purposes.
I fear the above mentioned Atlas (maybe Faking the Funk could be useful too) and similars are the only options.
