I have followed big M's instructions closely many times but for some reason it still goes wrong.

    His instructions are:

Ok let me clarify this again STEP by STEP.

1.if you have already installed waves go to central and perform a complete waves cleanup.

2.delete all waves folders in following locations (if available).

    Library>Application Support>Waves(unhidden)
Library>Audio>Plugins>WPAPI(sometimes this thing is left after uninstall)
    ~Libarary>Application Support>Waves Audio and Waves Central(hidden)
    Macintosh HD>Users>Shared>Waves

*Also make sure that all vst/vst3/au/aax waveshell plugins are removed.

3.download latest waves v13 release by ret.

    4.extract and install waves central.

5.perform an offline installation by choosing plugins you like to install.

    6.replace WavesLicenseEngine.bundle in Library>Application Support>Waves>Modules

7.open terminal and paste following commands,

    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

8.run waves keygen on a windows pc or with crossover.

9.find your computer id on waves central licenses tab, enter exact id to keygen and generate license file.

    10.copy license file to Library>Application Support>Waves>Licenses

11.restart your mac first and run waves au reg utility and click let's go, it will identify your plugins.

12.open your daw it will automatically scan plugins, if not rescan plugins manually.

tested on macos monterey, logic pro 10.7 M1

I'm running Ableton live 11.1. I did got it too work on Ableton live 10 but not on 11.
It also seems to be a problem for people who have bought both softwares. Any tips?

    Did anyone

Allright, live 10 runs only under rosetta. It means that installed waves release is only patched for intel. Make sure you latest waves release by ret.

Good Day all. Im in the same boat. For three days been at it every which way but loose. My dumb ass updated to monteray and tried w13 and am dead in the water. I've tried every release I could find.
I clear everything out using this

    Code:
    sudo rm -rf /Applications/Waves\ Central.app
    sudo rm -rf /Applications/Waves
    sudo rm -rf /Users/Shared/Waves
    sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/WPAPI
    sudo rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/Waves
sudo rm -rf /Users/bbm/Library/Application\ Support/Waves\ Audio
sudo rm -rf /Users/bbm/Library/Application\ Support/Waves\ Central
    sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/WaveShell*
    sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/WaveShell*
    sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/WaveShell*

and try reinstalls, but no go. Tried to roll back to 12, no go. Am I missing anything?
    Any suggesttions greatly apreciated.

Sorry to be a Pain in the ass... really do... but May I ask how you did this please? Ive followed directions from so many people... terminal commands and all and still get the same license check. Ive tried clean install and current install as well from the latest v13 and using Ret and non Ret. Could you please help me out? I'm sure I'm not the only one banging his or her head on the wall lol. Again my apologies.

I think you should try the V14. First of all remove/uninstall any version of waves, then follow these steps from the sister site:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    01. Download this latest waves v14 release by RET v2023-01-17.

    02. Extract and install waves central.

    03. Perform an offline installation (Locate install.cen)

    04. Intall whatever you want

    05. Replace "WavesLicenseEngine" in
    /Library/Application Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/

    06. Open terminal and run

    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

    07. Run waves keygen on a windows pc or with crossover on M1 macs.
Create license with exact Device Name and ID as shown in Waves Central Licenses tab!

    08. Drop the .WLE generated license file here:
    Library>Application Support>Waves>Licenses

    09. RESTART your mac FIRST

    10. Run waves au reg utility 14 and click let's go.

    11. Open your daw, write music !
