Denis my ninja, just start your own company. You will own much more this way. People here in the forum can help you with gaining new ideas for effects and instruments.

I have spotted an imposter, that exactly what should not happen for upcoming updates.

Andrew is full of shit. He's a crook, don't listen to a word he says. People close to this situation know Denis is in the right.

The worst problem with all this joint business among individuals is that it is based on 'trust'.
There is no space for trust when it comes to business and money.*

In business, neither the spoken word nor any implications I make count.
What counts are written agreements and documentation.

In the end, that (record all agreements in writing and document all processes in a comprehensible manner) creates 'business trust'.
'Business trust' is the precaution in case one party wants to take advantage of the other and the knowledge that this will not work.

With proper agreements and documentation, the one guy (whoever it is) would not have even tried to out-maneuver the other. :guru:

In any case, anyone who starts a business together with anotherone can learn something here.

    What a prick:

Denis had a previous company, Spin Audio that made a couple different products including a popular reverb RoomVerb. Denis did really great things at a very young age, but coming from Russia it is a little more difficult to gain notoriety in the music technology world, which is sad as there are many brilliant people in Russia.
Yes, I know DSP theory, but Denis is actually the formal computer scientist of the two of us. I designed the mathematics and functionality of the algorithms that we use, almost exclusively in Kaleidoscope, and to a large degree in B2 as well. I answer what and why and Denis works out how to integrate it and make it as fast as possible, which is certainly not an easy task, as I often try to push things as far as absolutely possible. Thankfully Denis is a complete genius and we work very well together.

I was going to agree with you ...however...
I have seen many partnerships - private and business - break up.
But in no single case the one to blame was only on one side.

Surely he should have a backup of the original code that he could use to start his own company but that should be a last resort. First, he should fight for everything that is his and owed to him. In cases like this, I always side with the original coders since they are the ones that put in all the hard work.

I feel the same way. But that doesn't have to be right.
If we consider a relationship like that of Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs:
Steve W. a genius at designing electronic circuits, Steve Jobs an average guy with no skills except in sales (especially of himself).

Sure Steve Jobs took advantage of the other Steve, on the other hand Steve Wozniak probably wouldn't have achieved anything at all.
Even with several 100 million startup money from Apple times, he was not able to create a successful company.

A partnership can therefore create an excellent environment for both sides. If the general conditions are right.

Agree here, they were the perfect partnership.

I think in the beginning it is important to put everything in a rock solid contract and not build anything on friendship, because if friendship breaks so does the trust and therefore you might end up in such a situation? Like 2CAudio is now.

Hope this can be sorted out!

Glad this finally came out in the wash, Ive always suspected trouble at 2C Audio, Which is why I never bought their products, It appeared they were going to close around 5 years or so back , When this year or late last year rolled around I noticed they updated their site and plug-ins and I was preparing for purchase in the upcoming months, only to yet again pull my hand back. Gah Damn Shame

Nah, these people are far away from getting rich and realized so long ago so they are offenders by conviction :D

Example: I emailed TDR a while ago because I wanted to know how to reproduce Proximity (no longer supported plugin) and Fabien from TDR sent me a pdf from AES (audio engineering society) that should actually be kept away from the public. Mind you, I haven't bought any TDR plugins (yet!).
Crazy guys, that's all I have to say :)

What I find super weird in this story (if it is true), it's all those moderators from different audio forums DELETING the posts made by 'Denis'.

Why would they do that ? Would the other guy be a piece of shit enough to contact the admins/mods, tell them 'his' side of the story, and givie them 4000 or 5000 bucks...
'hey guys, I love your website, forum... here is a small contribution... just one thing... if my former 'employee', a certain 'denis', posts some comments on your forum, please know everything he might say is 100% lies... and I would appreciate if you could stop him from spreading fake stories about me and 'my company'... by deleting his comments asap.
Please tell me if you have received my small contribution ! "....

I personally know how it feels, when your partner/friend/etc positions himself as the 'one who did almost everything', and claims you are the one who did almost nothing, therefore....
Fortunately, there is something called karma.... and sometimes, not always, but sometimes, there is what I call a 'cosmic justice'... and that or those persons, who kept doing so much harm to 1, 100 or 10'000 people, while always getting away with their acts or their behaviors, one day, when nobody is expecting it, they get such a titanic slap on their face, that they will never be able to recover.

That's why I would have the tendency to be on Denis side... i can detect more 'honesty' on Denis story than on the other dude. But maybe that's just me.

There are creative ppl ... and there are capitalists.

    Another example ?
National Geographic photographers have troubles owning their life.
Some of them can't afford more than 2 cameras at the same time... for their job.
Without them, NG would not exist.

    WHO get THEIR money ?

Search on wikipedia, and you will get a complete list of billionaires "owning" NG, creating nothing ... but moving air.

You have just described the 21st Century and the complete absence of intellectual property and rights along with Bezos, Ek and too many to list exploiting the work of others for their own financial gain.

You have just described the main tenant of capitalism., namely the exploiting the work of others for one's own financial gain.

You can be a capitalist without being a scumbag who betrays their friends.
That's all this story is actually about. It could be over a single dollar.
