i previously used win 10 ghost spectre build which was very good. i now migrated to win 11 ghost spectre only to find that win activation as well as disabling updates no longer works :(. i am using ghost toolbox. not sure what he did wrong this time.

could u please recommand tools for activating win 11 as well as disabling updates.

@Xupito i think you are the man for this ;). if i remember correctly u dont like KMS activation method. could you please elaborate again why and also mention why the alternatives (which you should mention please) are better?

What did I do this time? It wasn't me!! Oh, it's a good thing ...
Ok, jokes aside. I have no experience with Windows 11 activation. All I'm going to tell you is for any Windows 10 version, modded or not.

Most if not all the methods are based on KMS activation but not all are named "KMS-something". I use the "microsoft activation script" (last version perhaps is v1.6) with the "KMS 2038" method.

So I'd start by using another activator than the one included in the Ghost toolbox. Hope other win11 uses can help you here
    Cheers ;)

Edited: I just checked it out and the script I use is only for Win10

why do you want to disable updates? even w 11 is an update, it wouldnt require any activation if w10 is already activated

because some updates tend to mess up your system and i go by the rule never touch a running system. right now it s stable so why would i want to update. i cant use win 10 activation since i installed win 11 from scratch using ghost spectre win 11 release. i still cant believe there are no tools to disbale updates and also for activating win 11. anyone can help pls?

just type services in the seach box and choose the app, the one with the gear icon, when you open it scroll down the services until you find windows update and set it on manual or disable

thx but as far as i can tell there is no difference in using this tool as to simply disabling windows updates in the services as duskwings suggested. so why would one want to use a tool for this?

Good question because that's what I thought when I was beginning to use Windows 10 and saw this tool. It's freaking convenient and fast. Why does it matter:
You'll find yourself several times in the need to enable Windows Update even if it isn't to update Windows. Activation is one of them.

Besides, it has an option to "lock" the WUpdate disabling. It's something Windows Home and Pro don't have. Caused quite the polemic years ago.

There is a really easy to use tool called "StopUpdates101".
    Google it.
You can turn on as desired if an update comes in you want. It completely stops updates in Win 10 and 11 to the point Windows doesn't know why.
It doesn't remove anything and is free. Completely off or completely on.

Hello , today my Win 10 activation was gone , the computer was offline for about 2 years . Unfortunately I forgot about the WUB thing. Does the machine have to be online periodically to keep the activation ? Or might this have happened installing some dodgy plugin ? Hardware has not changed . I did have the loopback NIC installed and the hardware NIC disabled . thank you

If you want to disable Updates, or anything else, even Microsoft security, firewall, defender, etc.. Just use Group Policy Editor. Its fast, its easy, and it will never "undo" like trying to stop services, etc.

As far as activating windown, use MAS 1.7 All-in-one (Massgrave Microsoft activator script). Ive not tried it on win11, but ive used it on win10 for years. massgrave.dev/
