I am not asking for warez!

I purchased Kontakted v5.1 for windows about a year ago and I have lost the program after a reinstall of windows.

Yep, I thought I had backed it up but having searched all my archives I cant find it.

Does anyone have a copy of the 5.1 windows retail (unregistered) they can hook me up with?

As I have my own serial number it needs to be unregistered.

Can't be Kontakted, so to speak?

 

1st email about 10 or 11 days ago to both email address's
2nd email last thursday to both emails.

 

That doesn't sound good at all, I would try writing a letter last.
Maybe the company is broke or has other difficulties, floods etc. !

Or maybe they are just not supporting the program any longer, as its not on their DL page
which is why I was asking on here as I can't have been the only one who paid for a copy

What do we learn from this?

Back up your software better, make backups, burn a copy on Blue Ray or DVD, back it up to a file hoster.

I have learned that rather than posting on a thread because someone can help an Op with their request,
some will make vague and patronising replies that do not fill the request of the Op.

Did you read my original thread in which I said "Yep, I thought I had backed it up but having searched all my archives I cant find it."

Having been using computers since the 80's I know only too well that taking backups is important, and one is not enough, you need three to be safe. As I stated, I thought I had backed this up but it seems I didn't, thats life.

 

I read your postings in and out and tried my hardest, to help you. I think I have invested 1 hour of time.

Man, that's all too human, it happens to people all the time, it's the end of the world. I had once bought something from Yamaha and threw the CD ROM in the trash, but I had forgotten or suppressed, then I searched my whole apartment. nothing, now I tried at Yamaha to get a new CD unsuccessfully, there you are angry at yourself. Mistakes happen even if you are so well prepared.

 

Just to close off this thread, I received an email this evening from Abyss Media with a download link to Kontakted 5.1
which I am very grateful for.

I have already backed it up to three different locations.
