    Hai there guys,

    I'm a guitar player myself, I do own a couple guitars but right now I'm looking for an acoustic steel string guitar which has a prize around the 400/500 max -ish. Unfortunately my local GuitarShop doesn't offer that much different guitars so I'm not able to test them out. Therefor I was hoping someone around her has experience with these "low budget" guitars.

    I prefer using thomann, since I've got good experiences with them. (Definitely recommend this site to y'all).

    I came across two guitars so far;

    1. Martin Guitars LXM
    2. Epiphone EJ-200

    I'm familiar with both brands, I've played different gigs with guitars from both brands (some more expensive types tho). The thing is tho I've never used them as recording guitars just live performances only.

    I know these guitars are completely different, but I feel like (not only in the guitar branch) there is just a lot of shit out there. Especially when you're looking at low budget products the difference in quality could be huge even though the price is just the same.

    Hope anyone could help me out! :)

    ps. the guitar must have a jack-output

    I only buy vintage high-end guitars, usually Japanese (K. Yairi, Nipper Gakki, Pearl, Morris, Jagard, etc) . Don't care so much for new and straight from the factory guitars. Guitars need years of play time (and seasons) for the wood to settle and get good tone. Maybe that is just me.

    Haven't considered 2nd guitars yet, i'll see if I can find anything. I prefer high-end vintage guitars myself but I'm on a budget! :3

    they don t necessarily have to be vintage,a simple second hand guitar possibly with a good preamp(if such thing exists) will do the work
