The overall sound and mix is very pleasant, but three things can be said - first, there is a resemblance in the harmony progression with the famous piece Adagio for Strings. Second, it's a bit repetitive, lacks original musical idea, there is nothing to remember it by, to make you want to hear it again and again. And third, the musical form could be better structured. :)

Usually i never listen to Trance music, because it's too cold for me.
Your track isn't bad; what is lacking is the human element such as voices.

    Cheers!

It does remind me an awful lot of Adagio for Strings. :dunno:

Well when I wrote it out on a score I thought it would be cool to use a resolution in there but apparently resolution is very popular among tiesto and armin. fml..

Nice song. I hear some resemblance with adagio for strings but not enough to say it's a copy.

Somehow I would like the drums a bit louder or more punchy. Maybe a transient designer, or parallel compression?

Anyway, it was a nice listen.

I have some advice for you. I work a lot with labels and A&R managers and know what they like Since I've been releasing for a couple of years. Recently I started producing for other DJ's and artists. Beleave me, it pays well! But you have to build your network in order to acomplish that.

    First the good part:
The track has potential. But needs a lot of work before it could be released (if in fact you would like to do that.)

    My advice:

    The start:

    - Never start with loud beams or impacts instead use subtile fx's like cymbals or other high fx. (Imagine dj's mixing it in with other tracks)
    - Start with a DJ friendly intro (if your track isn't finished or if you cutted the first part don't mind this critical point) Reason: The market you aiming at is DJ oriented if the dj doesn't play it no one will.

    The Arrangement
    - You need to tell a good universal story that others will understand. ( your tracks needs intro, verse, chorus, bridge,) and most important it needs to be understandable you tell the people what you like them to do.
    - The last melody u used has to be the main part. It's more original the other sounded indeed more like adagio for strings everybody will hear that.
One tip: Strip the main part and try other chord progressions. The melody I mentioned will need a lot of work it's sounds confusing and is simple but has some potention.

U need a solid louder bass

The Beat sounds loopy (Labels and other DJ's pays attention at your beat and the other things I mentioned off course)

    The mixing:

    - the overall sound is very dull and needs a lot of work and needs to be more in your face.
    - Kick and Bass are the most important (if you mix start with the kick keep -8 db headroom then the bass after that the claps etc.)

    Advice for now:

Remix the track and keep the advice I gave, in mind.

If you can't deal with the critics I gave you? Better get used to it otherwise you don't make it in this bussiness

keep practicing and enjoy what you do.

Isn't that what I gave Dan01? If I look to your Avatar you seems really angry, or am I wrong?

But Seriously, I spend minutes of time in giving my feedback (and in the music business, feedback is in most circumstances advice). And you just read the first line? Or do you like me to lie? and just say:

    Very well done, mate!

    Come on! Seriously?

After all the feedback I gave I still wouldn't play this in clubs because it need much more drive maybe it could be named as dream trance but it will need creativity especially in the arrangement and main elements it simply isn't good enough, but that is not the point If everybody lies about how they feel about the track. No one would learn a damn thing.

If I don't have faith in this guy I wouldn't waste my time on him. I see progressions especially in his other songs on soundcloud. It's still not it but he is heading in the right direction.

Thanks I'm actually an independent artist and I have my own type of style and it's what I want to stand out from the rest.
Mixing needs work I agree but if I were to get serious about this I would focus more on that aspect.

Thank you for the potential comment... I am not too focused on my stuff right now because I am joining up with another artist to try and actually do something and get out there, again, independent artist, but i'm not looking for praise and compliments I just want feed back good or bad

By the way I just want to point out a very huge lack in professionalism, if you can't spell you and instead put "u" what's the point?

Thanks for taking it not to personal and negative.
After all it's just helping. Good luck on collaborating. Thrust your instinct when you collaborate with other people. It's a hard business and people might take advantage of your good will.

I have collaborated a lot over the years. And felt more like the teacher. When they know enough and a good opportunity appears, they don't think of you. I don't say such thing will happen to you. Maybe you collaborate with someone you know personally. But there are such people out there.

And thank god there are also people who are giving back what you give to them. I experience it now!

    Greetz,

we are not talking about spelling. We are talking about making music.
But you are right "u" is not right word it has to be "you". I apologize, i'm Dutch. Didn't know "u" can't be used anymore. You understood the message, right? So that's what matters.
