Thats very true. I get what your saying. When I look at some synthwave stuff some chiller songs dont have much going on but they still sound good and driving maybe its the way they produce it I was trying to mimic the repetitiveness in some of other producers songs soooo I guess ill look into a better structure.

 

I get ya on that. Thanks for the detailed reply. You didnt explain it poorly at all haha. I think when I produced back in the day I did actually make the endings draw out but idk why I started doing it like this probably because I started up again without any knowledge or thinking of drawing it out. Ill do that next time around.

 

Now welcome to the most challenging part of music production that's not much of a favorite of producers due to its high energy and thought consumptive nature.

With all due respect, these guys are not so competent in making music. They usually play pre-made music like a robot while not knowing lots of the details. If you ask them to make a song on the spot or off the spot, their minds will conk out.

 

Well they must not know much about improvisation or didnt learn anything about jazz theory. Also its not that they cant make a song they just are lazy about it because ya playing Beethoven for about 8 minutes gets to be pretty hard remembering all the notes without sheet music let alone Bach. And the technique it takes ya its hard af. Also did you know the producer Mitis is a classically trained pianist so when you say tell them to make a song on the spot It def can be done. Just takes time and obviously effort with non of the laziness added. but I get what your saying.
