running Ryzen 9 5950X with faster RAM than 3200MHz?

    the Ryzen 9 5950X only supports max 3200MHz RAM. so there is no point going for anything higher (as eg. 4000MHz), right?

    Which mainboard do you use ? On their website there is always a list to download with the recommended RAMS ?
    So be sure to check the list to see what the mainboard supports.

    Gigabyte Aorus X570 (not sure which of the 4 models yet) but i just googled around and found the actual limit for the RAM frequency is rather limited by the CPU and not by the mobo.

    I have used 32GB G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3600 DIMM CL18 Dual Kit with Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2, So.AM4, ATX and Ryzen 7 5700G, didnt overvolt or overclock the RAM sticks, works fine as it is.

    Also the mainboard has compatibility charts on the manufacture homepage, check these.
