can cubase 12 open cubase 5 projects with _full_ total recall? eg. i m not sure if the native chan EQ changed so much over the years/versions since cubase 5 that when opening a cubase 5 project in cubase 12 the EQ parameters will get messed up? also what about routing etc. or to sum it up: will it be _total_ recall?

 

I am 100percent certain it can.. Cos i have opened my older cubase 5 projects in 8, 9, 10 and 11 so 12 will not be an exception other than the scrapping of vst2.

 

thx for the info. that is good news indeed! however did u really check if it was _total_ recall, hence does the cubase 5 project sound exactly the same when opened in cubase 12 (so all parameters get recalled perfectly)? as i said what about the changes to their native EQ for example, will it still sound the same as it did in the cubase 5 project?

the vst2 scrapping would be no issue for me since i m on win 11 and i read vst2 plugins still work in cubase 12 on win.
