eventually, the police state will win out. Even our thoughts will be monitored. Be happy we can still enjoy creative freedom, even if it is relative.

Waves Native + SSL + Abbey Road = Usually $7499

FabFilter Total Bundle = Usually £659

SoundToys Native FX = Usually $495

Native Instruments Komplete 9 Ultimate = Usually 999 Euro

    Izotope Creative Bundle + Studio & Repair Bundle = Usually $499 + $1549

Ableton Live 9 Suite = Usually 599 Euro

...Given, there are sales on at the moment, so to buy these you'd save quite a bit this week; but the price would soon bump itself back up with all of the sample packs, Kontakt instruments and various other plugs that make their way onto Audioz. That being said, the list above is, to my mind, all that is necessary to make any sound and any genre of computer music to the highest possible quality (without considering UAD plugs or outboard gear, of course).

What's also true, to my mind, is that the same quality and sounds could also be achieved a decade ago with the warez of the time.

Now consider this: If you can't appreciate the efforts of R2R or any other group, or you can't make music with the above mentioned tools, or even if you think you need that extra uncrackable program to fill a gap, then you're a schmuck - plain and simple, an inept, musically impotent, greedy schmuck.

If you're reading this R2R et al., thanks for a fantastic year! Your efforts are sterling and very much appreciated. Hope you guys have a fantastic Christmas and New year! Respect!

The only thing that could be better for us would be a mysterious invisible force which literally came to our rooms and gave us what we needed... Oh wait... That's you! ;)

For the ungrateful & musically sterile data collectors: Take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut...

I'm a sample based musician...and lo-fi. (90's boom bap). Most of the time I spend beatmaking, I am trying to put the "shit" BACK into my music...as opposed to the cold, sterile sound in our new digital world.

So, that being said.. I can do just fine with dusty old records, youtube, FL Studio + Edison/Slicex alone...

The non-essentials or "luxuries" (albeit, very nice ones to have) are my plugins. And most of those are of the very outdated variety! I run all that shit through dirty samplers and tascam 4-track cassettes :) (totally ITB makes soulless music!!)

If I had to choose three to be stranded on an island with...

    VSTi - Trilian, M-Tron Pro, Neo-Soul Keys

VST - Artillery2, Speakerphone, RSO Extreme Punch

Ah fuck it... just give me a tracker and I will make do!!

    :D

wow, i saw all kinds of stuff being released this christmas, but since they didn't release what you want, you going to complain, ever heard of "beggers cant be choosy", if nothing ever gets released ever again, i would still be happy, music creation on DAW's have come a long way compared to 10 years ago, looks like somebody needs a happy meal. Just sayin

Christmas was "miserable" simply because it came a month early. Seriously? Are you really forgetting how much was released back in November? ... Really? Literally $10,000+ of the best sample libraries on the market were released that month, but you're wondering why there wasn't much left for christmas?

Other than a few very specific exceptions, the only things that haven't been released are products that have launched within the past 3-5 weeks. Get over yourself.

You see it's a provocative post only and nothing more (I think!, If it's not, God bless you son) ... because of people like this, world is here where it's now.
Instead of spreading some knowledge, they rather choose to be dumb and make dumb post's, but that's they limit I guess.

give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

It's sad that people keep bugging on releases about "cubase" like if it's going to make them sound amazing.

:dunno: *no* :dunno: People should stop begging for releases seriously.

I'm grateful for the work that warez/hackers groups do to bring some amazing software to our poor pockets. *yes*

There's so much software + libraries out there to just keep begging for cubase/nexus/etc..

Learn to use and master the tools you have. :grooves:

Yea, Omnisphere is at our disposal...

    yet people beg for Nexus....

If people took the time to learn synthesis instead of warez hoarding.....They would soon know they can make any sound in Omni that Nexus could provide + thousands more.

Wow what a way to say thanks for the last year of involved work put in by the teams. People should honestly be ashamed of not only thinking about creating a thread like this but actually going ahead and doing it. While you sit on your lazy ungrateful ass there are literally hundreds of people working round the clock to bring you free software all year round. CHAOS, R2R and the other teams are sitting there pouring through cryptic code on tons of the latest products all year to release software that would have cost you an arm and a leg to purchase. Then SAiNT and the rest of the team spend all year working their asses off just to give you a platform to enjoy and make it easy, convenient and informative so you can find whatever your heart desires. Contributors upload all day and night just to release new software and maintain links so you never have anything standing between you and that product you've been wanting to try out. Let's not forget all the members that spend their precious time providing you with technical support too. Threads like this are the equivalent of spitting in their faces instead of showing them the gratitude that they deserve for all the time and effort that they have put into these endeavors. If it were up to me I would boot all the whiners and create a new closed network where we would never have to listen to you again and we could keep these forums adhering to the highest caliber not the lowest common denominator. It's always the same story for people like that: 0 posts, a mess of annoying comments and ridiculous demands. That's why I bust my ass here because instead of complaints I was looking for a way to give back and support the forums that have always supported me. The funniest thing is I bet you that all the critics either don't actually make any music, probably don't even know how to use .000000001% of the software that they already have and are just collectors looking for their next fix. The only things miserable about the warez world are people like you. :bleh:
