It explicitly says that it starts MARCH 2nd. So, maybe they had it live by accident and deactivated it until tomorrow, American time. Giving away a free plugin is the opposite of a "shitty promo".

I installed it on my MacBook Air M1, which can easily carry full projects. Only one instance in Ableton took the CPU from 1% to 79%. Completely unusable for me. Maybe because it is not M1 native yet, but still... I can use a bunch of Acustica Audio and hardly reach CPU's limits.

Never mind! It was some hangout of some sort. After restarting everything, it now reaches 9-10%, which is within nominal values! Sorry for miss leading!

I have had iLok for 15 years with not a single issue AT ALL, and it saved me hours of going thru emails and punching in activation codes for my 130 plugins when I got a new computer, get a life. losers similar to you decide to completely disregard wonderful plugins becuase they use an activation method thats runs in the background.

 

all of my mcdsp plugins are on my dongle (that I have had since 2011)

Just for information: I don't have a dongle and I'm already using the plugin. No problems so far.

 

my bad I misread his comment as you cant use it if you have a dongle... the dongle is nice tho, where you can plug your dongle into a studio computer. Or install a plugin on your friends computer and just plug the dongle in and your good to go, the simplton kiddies who shit on ilok and use midi packs dont understand the benefits of ilok... simple people have simple tastes

I have. regular ilok. ilok cloud feels like someones over my shoulder recording my mouse clicks.

 

Have been Playing Around with the Models. I love how you basically can created wind from a kick using the analog delay by playing with the feedback and filters. Another top notch quality product from McDSP.

My guess of the models emulated:

Magnetic = Echoplex EP 4 maybe?
Analog = feels like Roland Space Echo
Digital = my guess is Lexicon PCM 42. Looks like it as far as the color scheme is concerned.

Oh and I almost missed this: The digital algo includes a "SIM" tab with speaker emulations:
