I've actually not tried any McDSP plug-ins so far so this is very welcome. I've only heard good things about them so my expectations are quite high!

Btw, I noticed that the Echo Collection has been done as a giveaway a bunch of times so I guess that some of you already has it.

Quite impressed here. The 3 different delay modes sound fantastic, better than Softube Tape Echoes! The digital mode even has a Speakerphone style impulse response collection of various devices. The only thing I'm missing are presets / a preset browser. I tried the Windows VST3 version.

 

Can you confirm that it can only be used with an iLok Dongle?

 

it asks for iLok ID at checkout...

 

It requires ILok, but not a dongle. You can use the locally installed / cloud variant of Ilok license manager.

Thanks for the heads-up! I've used a few of these McDSP plugs when I was doing premixes at a post-production studio; they all sounded great. Their plugin 'FutzBox' gets used by a lot of post-production sfx guys, so far as I've seen.

 

i think it doesnt work anymore, i dont get a iLok license key, it says "Unable to allocate License Code. Please contact support."

 

Yeah, I'm getting the same result.
