    Greetings from the Bitwig Headquarters!

We hope you've had a sensational 2013 and would like to take the opportunity to wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
We're currently approaching the last beta phase stages for our upcoming Bitwig Studio and want to send out a big thank you to all who helped with beta testing, sent in wishes and suggestions, or otherwise helped to improve and shape what we're working on.

It has been amazing to see so many people from all parts of the world and so many different walks of life contributing to bringing a new music-creation tool to life. We couldn’t be more thankful for the sheer amount of anticipation and interest we have experienced in the past 12 months! That said, our thanks also go out to those who have silently kept their fingers crossed for us while eagerly awaiting the Bitwig Studio 1.0 release.

If you have been following our project for some time now, you might already know that we originally planned to ship Bitwig Studio before the end of this year. Alas, we won't make it and would like to apologize for having to shift this time frame now to the beginning of 2014.

However, the wait is nearly over: We will kick it up a notch again after the holidays and are looking forward to attending NAMM in January, where we will announce the upcoming release date and pricing information for Bitwig Studio 1.0!
We hope you'll enjoy the upcoming holidays and wish you a happy, prosperous, and creative 2014!

    Your Bitwig Team

I'm tired of the word "Bitwig" itself.

I got the happy christmas email from them earlier too, I was excited when I saw it as I thought Christmas had come early. All I can say is what a letdown! All the email really tells us is that it's coming "soon", the same as it has been for the past couple of years.

It's not even being released at NAMM, they're just going to let us know when it will/might be released. Disappointing.

Who do they mean? I was one of the first to register for the beta and never heard of them again. Never heard anything about the beta at all, never saw even a screenshot despite their official videos.

That's nothing but marketing BS. :dunno:

Call me when a proper cracked version is ready.

No matter when it gets released, don't expect such a revolution...
It'll be the 1.0 of a complicated software.

Just think, remember about FruityLoops, Logic, Cubase, ... in their first version, it always take at least 5 years to get a stable, solid workflow on such software.

So if you're planning to replace 1:1 Ableton Live the day of the release, you're gonna have a tough time.
And after ranting about the wait, you'll be ranting about all the bugs and features that wasn't addressed before the release date.

    :D

Don't expect that much, the harder you'll fall.

I expect to replace Ableton Live with Bitwig.
Don't use Live anymore since Live8.22 and never touched Live9.
Had so many problems with PDC and so, ... I just don't need to go through all this...

I like everything in Bitwig I saw so far and think that it will be great.
As soon as they open the modular system, it will be rocketing,
because so many users will make effects and synth for it. Just look at Reaktor community !!!
I am sure they open modular in version 1.2 or at least 1.5, not from 2.0 like some wrote.

Will it have bugs ? Yes, but it won't be worse then Live9.

    Time will tell...

Fuck me if they haven't said something really similar last xmas.

I applied for beta testing I think 2 years ago. Never got anything back. No reply, just nothing. I wonder WTF is this actually about.

By the time a stable Bitwig is out, Live will likely to have all them shiny announced vapourware features already incorporated.

And if not, I'm lucky with Live as it is, all those Bitwig 'improvements' I can easily live without.

What a guy on Facebook said: " I'll tell my grandchildren about this software so they will perhaps get a hold on a Beta Key in the future. And if not my grandchildren perhaps their grandchildren. Or the grandchildren of those grandchildren. Someone in my bloodline will if God is merciful actually try this software sometime, somewhere, somehow."

What confuses me the most is that they started beta testing about 2 years ago but nobody got the beta software and a key to beta test it or even an e-mail to download these from somewhere. :( That in my mind is the weirdest. It really does feel like they're pulling our legs. To what end?
