Not tried it with loops yet so I can't answer that. Will try later on. I don't think it does SF2/SFZ.

Cosmos is free, CR8 is the paid sampler. Not tried Cosmos yet, will try that as well.

 

Yes, it does loops and got the BPM right of all the loops I've tried, but its kinda buggy sometimes so I'll have to close the plugin window and open it again for it to play in the right BPM (weird, I know)

Ohh this knob behavior drives me crazy. So when you grab a knob the mousepointer hides, and tehn it suddenly appears and the values jump. For fine adjusting is this create but not if you like to fast change things

I ment loops in melodic samples like PAD sounds etc, not beat, that's easy

 

You guys noticed that there is already an "update plan" for eth free COSMOS ? Not much but it is there

 

even macos ?

 

The catch is it will mess up your waves plugins, can use non of them anymore. They were cracked.

 

As with any algorithm that does that, it depends on the sample, imo Cosmos and CR8 do just alright (I tested with basses, drums and keys). If anything might be a good idea to compare with other algorithms.

Created a Free account and bought Cr8 that's all!
Worked right of the bat after that!

Hi All, I don't know if this is the right place to ask....
I've managed to install Cr8 and Cosmos from WavesCentral, In my DAW (Cubase Pro 11) but after I login to Cosmos with my credentials, all I got is a white blanc screen, I don't see any samples
Can someone help?
I even registered and filled in my profile to get the free registration for Cosmos. but that didn't help much...

Logic doesn't use industry standard elastique afaik, so its probably the shittiest

 

Absolutely hate how Waves Central eats up all the bandwidth making it impossible to use anything else while it is downloading

I asked for loading samples containing a loop like the following and if CR8 will read them and we DON'T have to set the start and end points manually:

 

I don't know any sampler that magically detects where I want to loop in the middle of a sample neither I'd like my sampler to automatically set starting/end looping points to me. But looks like a good idea. I don't think CR8 does that tho.

Samples can contain embedded lop points which most sampler can read !, hence play the loop without adding it manually. VPS Avenger can import multisamples from a folder. It will map each key according to its name, eg pad_c1.wav, pad_c2.wav etc. AND Avenger will playback loops of teh wav files. You can even edit teh loop points (for multisamples) in Avenger.

If you autosample an instrument with apple autosampler, you can enable automatic looping Either just a basic crossfade or the penrosemachine which created perfect loops

Oh, kinda like what the media explorer on Reaper does, now I get what you mean. Well, I need to investigate if CR8 does that, if you find out before I do please let me know it!

 

Do you also get strange jumps when tweaking teh knobs ?
