well not to be a ballbreaker, but the best mixers can mix you into the ground with any stock pro tools eq

im going to sell all my uad and pa plugins and a ton more, crane song etc. they were an attempt to get better by buying them before i had studied the techniques of the best, which does not involve eqing, mostly at all, best place to sell?

Amek 200 has to much color comparing to SOMA, Soma is so smooth and clean sounding,
i like the low on Amek and High on Soma

FF, TDR, DMG, all top notch. Amek is also good. No need to put down some tools, all are useful.

There is a world where FF, Acustica, Slate Digital and Plugin Alliance can coexist on the same computer.

No EQ at all. Good luck with that.

In 10 years. Why were my mixes so much cleaner when i started? :hillbilly:

Sure, but I find TDR tools so much more useful than the Plugin Alliance pseudo analog emulation stuff. With Plugin Alliance I'm not sure whether they just slap different GUIs on top of the same generic algorithms? I might be totally wrong though.

TDR is a very different approach: tailor made tools for specific tasks (eg mastering) with extended functionality (look up Smart Ops, really powerful stuff). In TDR Slick Mastering you can set the stereo width for each of the bands + mono maker for the low end + superb sounding low- and highpass filter.

It's so well designed (parameter choice and parameter range!) you can get a good mix done in minutes.

    Will look into it.
So far i have used DMG for serious tasks. But i have also discovered the latest SSL native X EQ 2 is a stellar eq and low on cpu.

I'm not sure I understand the point of putting a products "regular" price at some laughable number, only to sell it for the correct price on sale. I mean it may work once or twice, but people know to just wait now. it's still a $20 plugin wether some sucker paid $400 for it or not.

Anyway, I like some of their plugins; but I always get them on sale or with a randomly acquired voucher. My personal favorite is still Knifonium synth. it was like 20 or 30 bucks on sale and it is easily well worth that.

Would love to hear some of your unEq'd work..do you have something we can hear or information you can share since apparently you've learned something the rest of us haven't?

Or do you mean you EQ on your way in so you dont need to ITB? Very curious...

I also like TDR, DMG, Crave, apqualizr, acon eq, pro-q2/3 and several others.... But imho, I can live even with just one super old digital eq - sonnox oxford eq v1 x86.... Or even a couple of free ones, by lkjb, and slickeq by TDR/VoS, for example. Super surgically - Equick is enough for me... Deresonate - dseq, soothe, apqualizr... Saturation - wavesfactory spectre...
Manually - RX editor (select spectrum area and apply gain to that area- for resonances, background sh*t, noise, clicks etc etc).

    Yeah Amek is cool.
Thanks for making me aware that Soma exists. I use the Mix&Master subscription and would've missed out otherwise ^^'

If you do recordings in a very good treated room with musicians who know what they are doing, with carefully selected mics, preamps and filtering with very minimum tracks then maybe you can get away from EQing, but once you start layering a lot of tracks like in EDM or cinematic or any other kind of more complex genres you will need to EQ because of the layering and frequency build up to gain more dynamic range, low end definition, clarity, instrument separation, etc, its pure physics.

Currently on Sale for 29,99. The time spans from introducing a plugin for the full retail price to really low sales prices are gtting shorter and shorter at PA. I mean this is not even half a year old if I recall correctly

It says 49,99$ but have not received any additional email discount from PA?, but the regular 25$ discount brings it down to 25$, great price.
