Hello forum, I want to use helix native as my go to vst but I find an issue. I use reaper and when I load the vst it takes 10/11 seconds to load, and when you close the GUI tab and return it takes 5 seconds. Th-u loads in milliseconds. I have the following PC specs
Ryzen 5 1600 AF, 16 gb Ram (3200mhz) and a SSD drive for vst. I don't know if my PC it's capable to run a simply GUI vst. In YouTube videos I saw that it loads in one second. And I forget to mention that it was the same with every helix native version, from 1.50 to 3.00. I hope you can help me.

The same thing happens to me, when before it opened in less than 1 second, I'm going to try doing a downgrade and edit the post.
and I can tell you that since the last versions that I have this problem, it opens in 6sec and closes in 2sec

edit: I forgot to mention that I use version : 3.15

thanks beat but it not work, i use reaper and notice something that can be a clue. when you load a plugin in reaper you can turn off the UI and make it simpler as a reaper native plugin. Helix works very well deactivating the IU, i think that the problem is with the user interface

 

For me it takes maybe 1 sec

 

I've too experienced this with the V.R. version, whereas R2R version works fast & great (also make sure you patch your hosts file for line6.com domain).

 

this is not only a cracked software issue i've tried the official release in trial mode and it's the same

i've tested different version and the last stable version in my pc it's the 1.50 any version after this, loads in 10 seconds

 

About the same here.

Interesting approach. Helix starts here always with Factory1 preset 01A. I just removed all the modules and saved it (Save to Library). Problem solved.

Not necessary here. I blocked my DAW in the firewall rules. So far, no problems.

 

I've been facing the same issue for a while. IIRC the last version which loaded without any lag was v1.70. Every version since v1.80 takes quite a long time to load. And as others have noted, it doesn't seem to be an issue with just the k'd plugin either. I was running a trial on the legit version and it had the exact same load time as the k'd version.

I know this is not ideal, but I had no problems even without blocking the DAW in firewall or using the hosts patch.
