Cool topic, I had a walkman as a kid but it was one of the later, cheaper ones. Full black, full plastic, only one headphone jack. You gotta admire the two headphone jacks of the first models, that was a really cool social gimmick back in the day. Lots of memories.
Today I have the cheapest one that @BEAT16 showed above, but I think I have an even cheaper one as it cost like 40 or 50 Euros. It's been rock solid, has no problem with longer files and has been in almost daily operation for several years now. Battery life has been only slightly decreasing if even at all. Have been pleasantly surprised by the build quality and sheer longevity of it. Hope that they continue the brand (for the low price segment as well I mean) even through a time where everyone and their grandma uses their smartphone to listen to music.

My XiaoMi 9T Pro actually support High-Res Audio and several players which they say can output High Res Audio , detect and let me manually choose sample rates up to 192hz . I've alternated between choosing the High Res audio DAC, the android audio, ensuring the Earphones/Hifi Quality selector is activated, and still there is no discernable difference between the same song at 320mp3 and a High Res Audio file at 192hz/24 bits.
Sony is crazy ... 3600 Euro ??? XiaoMi 9T Pro ... 400 Euro !!!

 

they could call it the Mp3 - a - Lago version. w/optional Blutooth to Toilet connectivity.

I've actually seen, twice now, in my neighborhood, a green Lambo Aventador. Looks new too. That would probably buy two nice houses here. Even if I had Bezos money I think I could find a better choice for a car. It's just penis compensation with wheels.

This player should hack any sound system within range via bluetooth/wifi/NFC/4G (whatever) and play what you want so you go to shops/stores/restaurants and you are always the DJ in control of the situation. That would be groundbreaking.
