    Hey guys,
    Hope y'all are doing marvellously well. Diving straight to the point, Which among the two do YOU think is better after having used it or any experience with it at all. I'm mostly into rock, metal and pop and I'm primarily a bass guitarist and love the vintage jazz sound and would like to mix bass mostly with the vintage vibe. Please help me with the two options. Thanks in advance.

    I don't mean any disrespect but.. just wonder... can't you use your ears to decide which suites your taste?

    I would go for X-Saturator because you can choose between the amount of 2nd [even] or 3rd [odd] harmonics. That's rather important because tube gear produces more even harmonics and solid state gear produces more odd harmonics. Usually even harmonics sound more pleasant to the ear, but it really depends on the particular track - what you're trying to achieve. Rock can use more odd harmonics to sound more aggressive, for example.

    Not saying that Vintage drive is bad, though. I guess they would complement each other nicely. Vintage Drive is actually X-Saturator "plus". If Vintage Drive had 2nd and 3rd harmonic mix buttons, it would be a non-brainer to choose it over X-Saturator.

    Cheers!

    None taken but, I think it's better if someone who's actually used it for multiple purposes and found one better suggests an option among the two. Both cost a buck and I want to be pretty sure before I invest in one.

    @SineWave,
    very good. you justify your decision, and explain why and how... that's very important and useful when answering a question.
