Ok so have ordered a new M1 Max Macbook Pro.
I believe NI still haven't brought out an M1 Kontakt version yet and we are still waiting for the transition.

I am currently using Kontakt 5.6.0 (R46) (for adding Libraries) and Kontakt 6.6.1 (R139) for playing the newer libraries and my Kontakt AU on my older i7 Macbook Pro

Do I install these exactly the same on a newer M1 Mac (v5 and v6) like above?
and tick the 'Rosetta' box for it to be compatible?

 

Install the current latest version available. You also can add libraries with kitty's scripts instead of using k5.

No need to tick anything since kontakt is only intel for now, it will launch via rosetta automatically.

Kontakt 6.7 beta is out and it has native apple silicon support. A stable build will be released pretty soon.

Ok thank you! I have heard of these Kitty scripts, but not sure what they are or how they work?

I have some older libraries, that just work on K5 now and newer ones that only work on K6?
I am trying to change the RAS3, ninct, and .xml files to try and get everything to show on K6

Kontakt 6.7 (k'd) I am guessing shouldn't be long? but sounds a move in the right direction.

 

Re: Kitty's scripts - You just un the add library script, point it to the folder of your Kontakt library when asked, and it gets added. Rinse and repeat.

This is good as I do need to get rid of the older K5 now, expecially moving to M1.

Do the Kitty scripts do the same as KLC (i need to have a Windows partition to run KLC) as I am on a Mac.
Also would the Kitty script, overcome the problem of older libraries in K5, not showing in K6?

East West Colossus for example is old now, but a workhorse, but will not show in K6, so I have to keep K5 around
