depends on your hard drive. It has to set up the instrument, it will take a while usually. Shouldnt be 5 minutes though. Maybe two if you have a 5400 rpm drive. Solid state its near instant.

You can Either Do a batch resave operation, or resave individual instruments. One of the things that resaving the instrument patch does is it stores the filepath to all the required sound files. To do an individual patch resave, open the instrument in Kontakt, then on the top menu hit files -> Save as... then overwrite the old instrument patch with the same name.
A batch resave will do this process for all the instrument patch files in a given folder. To do a batch resave, go to files -> batch resave, then select the instrument folder where all your patch files are. If it asks you to locate samples, choose the folder option and direct it to the corresponding samples folder for that library.
After you've done either of these options, load times should be much much faster. Patches I've resaved open almost immediately, although it still takes time for the instrument to load all the sample files.

    Hope this helps.

You can begin saving only one instrument/multi for testing and give it a different name. If it works, that means if it loads faster do a batch-resave and kontakt will save all the instruments.

The root folder of your library. That means the folder which typically has the following sub-folders: instruments, samples and sometimes multis.

You can make a copy of the instruments and multis (which are literally several instruments at once) if you like, because this are the two unique folders affected by the batch resave.

If you are in windows, do you run kontakt with administrator privileges?

He's trying to save the whole thing samples and all. Just save the directory paths. There should be check box options when you save. The one you want is for location/paths only.

Save multi as [over write file] when the save box comes up at the bottom it says "save modes" select "patch only" instead of the others and then checkmark the "absolute sample paths" and then save.

Okay, do I have to save it as a multi? It brings up my FL Studio folder rather than Kontakt.

if it has multiple instruments then yes, it has to be a multi. If it brings up a different save location you can either save it whereever you want or find the original and overwrite it. Each kontakt library has a folder for the presets menu, if you can find it, just overwrite the files or make your own folders for your presets
