    I detest being forced to listen to low grade commercial music (muzak?) when shopping.
    Worse, when they overplay a song I once loved and make me dread hearing it AGAIN.:(

    i go shopping with my own music, i hate the shopping music.

    Also acoustic is very bad in the supermarket.

    Actual no music during shopping is the best, like the organic store has it. I love it there, shopping should be a relaxating trip and not a trip where you got bombed with music and ads, which you both cant stand.

    Most of the time the local radio station is on and 99.99% of the time it's shit music, and if it's not the radio then Top 40, which is at least as shit.

    Conclusion: quickly away there

    I don't know, my local supermarket sometimes plays instrumental renditions of Steely Dan or Stevie Wonder.

    I've even danced in the aisles a few times when I went shopping high on ecstasy.

    very fashionable indeed!

    @ArticStorm that supermarket loop gets me so confused I sometimes come home with an extra beer! Better not to mix pleasure (or displeasure) with shopping.

    They're playing music in supermarkets? Maybe I need to switch my player off. [​IMG]

    What I find even worse to unbearable is the background music in radio and TV programs, which is sometimes so loud that you can no longer follow the content. :trashing:

    When I go visit my parents and the TV is on, the aural assault is unbearable. Feels like 7.1 surround mix crammed into a mono channel.
