    So due to your logic if some here asks if the earth is flat or round you would really answer and explain that astronomacally or would you rather tell the user to google it on his own?

    I'd suggest change the wires inside the headset with better quality wire and install a panel mount jack on your headphones instead of having the headset wire. this way you can use a good quality 3.5mm Braided Aux Cord Male to Male Stereo audio cable and if it gets damaged just replace the cable. Use a 27-35 watt soldering iron don't use a soldering gun it is too hot that's why your wires are melting, and use thin or ultra thin lead free tin based solder wire for electronic use, not the thicker stuff. hope this helps.

    You have to redo the job and switch the wires the other way you might have put it on the ground by accident
    when i redid my sonys that happened to me :(
