not realizing or understanding the issues you are having because of ilok does not mean that you are not having any. ilok is overly restrictive, uses extra memory and cpu, slows down the loading as well as the efficiency of the process, among other things. but sometimes ignorance is bliss i guess.

 

If this tape is as good as the free tape Arturia gave away, I'm not complaining. Just keep the good freebies coming and I'll shut my mouth.

 

That's what I did. I would probably have installed it too if you could download a separate installer (since I already have iLok installed), but I can't be bothered installing Softube Central just for Dirty Tape and Saturation Knob. No reason for me not to claim it though. Might become useful in the future when going all legit.

 

Sounds OK, would have been nice to have better volume control (maybe an input trim and both go from -inf to +12dB instead of just output from -inf to 0dB) but adding gain plugins here and there isn't the end of the world.

I jave legit plugins from them. Stopped using them. Just CPU hogs, microscopi GUIs and nothing special that can’t be replicated with waves/fabfilter

Regarding iLok , you guys ever tried connecting the iLok support Heck even the Softube Support told me that they can't contact the iLok support ?! (wtf) Besides that teh current ancient iLok version do not support nativly Apple Silicon Macs.

asked me to download couple of ilok softwares and , got tired i gave up!

 

Very good and very interesting plugin.
I love the tape saturation, and this one combined with the stereo mode and the dirt mode bring very interesting results.
It's a very good deal at that price
