Hey guys -- I have bunch of sample libraries that I want to keep in permanently in the library tab. I put the respective nicnt files in the root folders and everything works great until I reload Kontakt. I have gotten a couple to work so it's not Kontakt or anything. How do I keep my libraries permanently in the library tab?

We need more information, like OS & Kontakt versions!!! But in most case in windows 7 the CurInstrDir is not configured correctly and cache a old location also you may need to delete K5DbCacheImportData & K5DbCacheImportSize
all this could be found here:in your Registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\

This is usually the case with older libraries in the NKS format. Older and wiser heads than me on this forum report that there is no workaround for this.....as yet

 

But since the holy grail Kontakt 5.3.0. came out i haven't had a single problem adding any library and there is quite a few users here that are saying the same thing. Just an update!!!!

 

The nks libraries will add no problem and they will play.Chris Hein Horns Library is like this. Only problem is next time you open Kontakt they are not there in the library tab and have to be added again. Check it out

 

I'm using 5.0.3 on a mac 10.8.5 sorry!

 

UPDATE: Upgraded to 5.3.0. Everything works.
