The successor of the TB Isone is the TB - Morphit. Actually the same but further developed and adapted to the times.
    Toneboosters - Morphit www.toneboosters.com/tb_morphit_v1.html

ToneBoosters has updated their plugin installer to version 1.2.2, providing a range of improvements and updates:
    • Native AAX (Pro Tools) versions of the flagship peak limiter (Barricade 4), dynamic equaliser (Equaliser 4), headphone correction and calibration (Morphit), tape simulator (ReelBus 4) and room simulation (Reverb 4).
    • Various performance and stability improvements.
    • All plugins are provided in native 64-bit format.
    • 31 new headphone profiles added to Morphit - the most extensive headphone correlation and calibration tool available today.
    • Support for the latest and greatest Harman headphone target curves in Morphit.

Hi all, personally I think software to enhance or emulate other hardware is un-needed for monitoring through headphones. The most important thing is to find yourself a good set of professional headphones with the best flat neutral frequency response curve. Plus a good set of ears and don't mix at levels which will give you tinnitus because I've done that before and it was a fright, luckily only temporary ringing in my ears. I highly recommend the Yamaha HPH-MT8 headphones they sound amazing the best I've ever used, though not cheap.

I wondered. myself some time ago and came to teh conclusion that noone else but me can answer that question.

So just try all demos and decide yourself.

My favourite is Realphones in conjunction with my Sennheiser HD650

Last R2R release required to block toneboosters page so far i remember.

@BEAT16 i was not aware that Morphit is the new product. Man they really uped the game, i mean even my old headphones are in that list. WOW. I will try it.

It well useful to be able to simulate it. I have a few situations, where i cant use my studio monitors, because i wanted to know how it was sounding in the middle of the night (Some of us still have neighbours!). So i pulled up Isone and play the mix through it. It was interesting how so details i was hearing in the original headphone vanished in the simulated version. So its very useful those simulations. I would recommend.

And it doesnt bring anything to the table to suggest any random headphones.

I am "forced" to use headphones for mixing, as I don´t own any monitors and I don´t have a fitting
Room for them, so I tried several mixroom plugins.
And in the end I chose "Sienna" from Acustica Audio (Sienna and Sienna Guru), which sounded the best for me,
    in combination with Sonarworks Refererence.
I don´t know for sure, but I think there is still a free version of it, in their "Aquarius" software, where you can download and update purchased (paid and free) plugins.

I think Acoustica Audio have one as well - Sienna? - I think it's free as well - I just haven't got round to testing it yet.

When using headphone i use these but one at a time

Sonarworks Reference (i always use this)
TB Morphit (they do the job well and my fav)
    Waves Abbey road studio 3

    Last i always check with
Beyerdynamic virtual studio, its free and not 100% accurate but the car stereo emulation helps if have to cut down on the low end.

    I havent tried AA Sienna.

Bur B4 using any of these u should have spent some time listening to these, every single one individually, with and without (bypassed) with ur headphones u r trying to emulate. Not just with reference tracks but with the songs that u cannot live without, that are your absolute favorites, that u know every bit and piece.

it's working now because the dns entry from when you were using your vpn is now cached locally.

make sure to also have an eye on the introduced latency when testing products :)

There are some clever developers and acoustic design engineers in the world who have managed to simulate many speaker designs and some have approximated the sound from a variety of hi-fidelity speakers quite well - and in reverse - in most audio environments.

The issue is in real life whether open air, lounge room and much more - atmospheric pressure and the very environment we ALL live in shunted into an enclosure the size of your ears and also reversed, no matter how excellent the recreation/simulation is, will only ever be a simulation/emulation of any 'said' environment it is replicating - this also goes in reverse. In my opinion only it is almost like Pepsi reverse engineering Coca-Cola and while it is certainly Cola, it is not the original.
    As you all were....

Don't underestimate waves nx it is actually pretty good. Studio 3 translates really well and cla nx is not bad either.
    DearVR mix is nice.
I want to try sknote mixroom, but no demo :dunno: strange marketing for something like a mix environment software. Testing such a software is essential.
