Ahhh....shit! Why I especially mentioned this one..I dont know...every track from the "Songs of Faith and Devotion" is incredibly fat and dense and grandious arranged and produced! In comparission to them all new songs are really thin and uninspired.

Of course Diskonnekted is putting out better versions of DM tracks than DM have in a long time. This track doesn't sound as good over YouTube as it does in person even at best quality but in my opinion it is one of the best remixes of a DM track to date but it's a little balsier considering they're an Industrial band:

@CAT...of course their older stuff is also brilliant but at the SOFAD time Alan Wilder reached the top of his talent in instrumentation of Martins compositions....They were simply perfect in this period. This multilayered athmosperes..everything fitting together. Each sound was followed by the next even more exciting one. The synths and samplers seemed to have a kind of conversation with each other.

Yeah Industrial is more abrasive and often on vocals. If you listen on the album the recording has a lot more depth and truly sounds larger than life. Here this is a remix of an Edge Of Dawn track (you might like them, also synthpop) but by an Industrial artist from Germany (damn Germans, when are you going to give us all a break? ). I think you will like it a lot, it has that DM vibe:

Yeah Recoil is awesome, SAiNT and I were talking about it just recently. I sent him an Electro-Industrial album by a Russian group that was amazing and he mentioned it was a lot like Recoil. :grooves:

I agree and this is one of my favorite tracks off that album, you read my mind. I think the new DM is utter crap, it's sad to compare Music For The Masses, Violater, SOFAD or even Ultra to what they're sound is like now. :wow:

YEAH..these fu...ing germans! Ohh, I forgot I'm one of them! :) The "Edge of dawn" is great piece of synthpop and I like it..unfortunately most of these actual german and swedish synthpop groups cabt sing!

For Recoil..I'm just trying to download the "A strange hour in Budapest" DVD ( I saw Alan Wilder and Paul Kendall live in Hamburg on this tour...What a surreal performance...It was in a church in Hamburg. Incredible brilliant sound...sinply fantastic) ...EHH, I sent you a PM

Seriously I really respect the German music scene, some amazing stuff coming out of that country. Wow that sounds like an absolutely amazing concert, I would have loved to be there...in a church. :wow: :beg:

Did you send a PM, I don't see it. :dunno:

Absolutely! Even I think at "Ultra" Tim Simenon was able to fill the gap Alan left. But since "Exciter" they became uninspiring and boring to me.

I just watched that Depeche Mode 101 video the other day,was pretty good,if no ones seen it.
    Depeche Mode 101

I don't know a lot of Depeche Mode, but what I do know I like, you know stuff from Violator, etc. But I remember a few that came out a few years ago that we're pretty good, they were remixes I think
Depeche Mode - A Pain That I'm Used To (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)

There was a remix of Martyr that I can't find that was great,I remember it came out around 2006 or 2007,it started off with this synth part that was really sweet.I was gonna post the link for it but every version on youtube that I can find isn't it

also I'm not sure I'm posing links from youtube right,it's my first time, sorry if I'm doin it wrong

Hehe...To call this "Video of the Devotional Tour" is quite wrong, because it exactly is missing the tracks from the related studio album "Songs of faith and devotion" :)

BTW..I'm proud to say I visited each of their tours since 1982. It always was a fantastic experience.
