So, about BlackBaze, i found some reviews at Amazon

but then i found another article here where they say that BlackBaze's app makes it nearly impossible to upload separate files... wtf? :snuffy:
i don't need to upload my whole drive, i only need to upload prepared archives...

    and here's the best part:
    *no*

a few more reviews about BlackBaze on this great site called CloudStorageReviews.
browsing it now for more appropriate solution.

SAiNT why don't you invest in RAID? Though the initial cost and setup will be a consideration, I highly recommend it.

    Thanks SAiNT.

It seems the cloud ain't the right way for us. I will also stick to HD's for backup.
It's not all bad though since limits on the storage makes me focus more on getting only the really good stuff.

Hey Cat, congrats on the promotion :drummer:

because i believe that if you do everything right, there's no need for re-precautions. i watch SMART, replace disks once in 5 years etc. i don't need raid.

yeah, unless you can afford to pay for GDrive, i wouldn't recommend to deal with scamers offering cheaper solutions.

another thought: GDrive, SkyDrive, Yandex Disk and MEGA offer free storage space (from 15GB to 50GB), and they are very reliable, so we can use them separately to store different backups. yes it's messy, it's not an "online storage" solution, but it is still something to keep in mind.

I will move soon, and to protect my data I wanted to have a cloud storage. Dont know, should need maybe 100-200 GB, its only for backing up my plugins, samples and projects for music and all my graphic design stuff...
Should be a fast service, I will have 100mb/s Internet, and I wanna use that speed.
Thing is, my PC is an offline PC, so that could complicate stuff... Any ideas on that?

What else...? Should be secure of cause, dont wanna let anybody but me have access. On the other hand of course I want access all the time, whereever I am and whatever device I use to access my data. Also it should be a service that will stay and wont go offline tomorrow. And of course it should be as cheap as possible.

So if you know anything good, tell me. If you know good alternatives, please tell me. I mean if it would be cheaper and as secure as a cloud to make a "website" and just save all my stuff on those web servers, I could also do that. Seems like an option to me :dunno:
