I'm looking for a Rompler which doesn't take up much space on the hard drive but have a lot of possibilities.
I mean some saxophones, trombones, trumpets, pianos, guitar, violin, accordion, harp, bells etc.
Or maybe you know something like this "physically modeled" like no based on samples but synthesized.
It can be separated like one thing per vst or all-in-one. No difference for me.
Any recommendations?

Some great recommendations here! Hypersonic 2 is lightweight and really easy to use.

I can also recommend the recreations of the older "workstation" units from Roland and Korg if you're looking for that kind of stuff. I love the Triton and Triton Extreme plugins from Korg and the XV-5080 and the SRX series plugins from Roland and get quite a lot of use out of them. On top of having all the legendary patches, it's reasonably easy to edit the sounds to your liking and get something completely new.

I like the Triton slightly more than the XV/SRX stuff as I find its interface much easier to navigate and find it way more intuitive for editing the sounds. The preset browser is much more powerful on the Triton and it's much easier to find something you need. On top of that, Triton actually supports MIDI Program Changes and the Combi mode offers the full functionality of the hardware units, so you can definitely use it as a live performance tool. Had to fill in on keys once and it was a really easy and lightweight setup with my MIDI keyboard, laptop, and interface, while also being quite powerful!
Not to forget, the pads make it worth it alone IMHO.

KORG M1 has some very iconic sounds, (most of them also sound dated), which can be applied to many styles of music
If you get the bundle you also get Triton and Wavestation ;)

 

Purity and M1 came to mind as above comment.
Maybe some Roland (especially sound module vst) might worth a look (XV-5080, JV-1080, SRX)

 

Blimey buddy, I know you said you wanted a small sized VST, but you never stipulated it had to fit on a floppy disc!!!

+1 for Hypersonic 2.

I still use it to this day (2gb) and it has a synth too if you look under the hood, as well as 2,000 reasonable quality instruments.

 

Yeah. I will make music on Cubase at Atari ST.
And I need few VST plugins but I have only 1 floppy.

SWAM is good but has a limited selection, I don't think that they have harps for example.
Also, get a decent verb if you haven't already, because those instruments are naturally dry as shit.

Buy an SSD and get fancy Kontakt Libraries, Omnisphere, Nexus, UVI whatever.
Or keep searching... until you do what I just mentioned but with more frustration :d

Okay, to be fair, let's try to look for a compromise: Roland plugins like SRX Orchestra or the Sound Canvas module. Uematsu used the latter one in the 90's for FF7's OST, so you can have such a setup and make it sound semi-realistic, for sure.
Just kind of weird thing to do these days when a 1TB SSD costs like 100€.

 

Just the mention of the word 'Atari' fills me with happiness. If I was addicted to anything growing up as a kid, it would be anything to do with Atari!.

If memory serves VST support didn't come until later on (win/mac) and the ST only had midi support (so you'd have to have physical external devices).

 

If you're considering older classic rompler style products - similar(ish) to the Air Music Tech Xpand!2 that Oly mentioned
then each of these 3 is pretty good...

• E-MU Emulator
• Camel Audio Alchemy

In each case you'll need to find the R2R versions and thank R2R for making these old products viable and keeping them alive.

If you're looking for things more like Hypersonic mentioned above then one (of many) other contenders is NI Absynth

and then +1 for Valnar's suggestion for Roland Sound Canvas modules, even the antique HyperCanvas. These are basically General Midi Sound Font packages. They don't come much smaller then these, and they're still great sketch pad tools with (by design) perfect General Midi compatibility.

Yes, and it and others all come free with Logic for the last 25 years.
But are you seriously going with an Atari 1040 ST and Cubase?
That's how I started out! Well, a 520 first and Notator (Logic).
