umm, i just downloaded over30 gb of stuff from the sister site in the past half-hour. i didn't have any speed issues at all.

 

I tried downloading a few torrents earlier with real-debrid and was amazed, it was super dooper fast around 50-60MB/s compared to with uTorrent I was downloading at 2MB/s and uTorrent also freezes my PC and stops me from being able to use it... Bye Bye uTorrent

Like others have said, Real Debrid is very high praised around here.
Me, being poor and not hoarding as much as others here (although I had my period where I couldn't stop downloading stuff which I'd never use), I was finding free websites to convert links (generators) into premium downloads for free. Very shady websites with thousands of ads, takes a while to find them (they change every so often) but sometimes you find some that work. It's not an elegant solution, but it works if you want to try something. If you focus on having a huge collection and you got the money, pay for a service like Real Debrid... I would never sign up on Rapid Gator & co. For most popular releases there's always torrents

I've bought the 6 month package of Rapidgator and have been more than happy. I only DL RG links anyways and don't really work w/ torrents.

 

These just were my experiences from about 2 years ago. I liked the concept of both but the speeds were crap in
comparison to my single accounts (RG & UL). Maybe it just was like this in that time but for me it damaged the
the advertised positive image of those services.

 

Any discounted RG premium accounts out there? What's the best way to sign up? Directly or other?

 

Why don't filehosters block services like real-debrid? Don't they lose money?

 

Both filehosters and uploaders loose money when you use real-debrid. Eventhough filehosters blocked them from time to time, there are ways to bypass it.

 

Yeah, I get that, my thing is just that I'd been devoting hours to downloading these big, slow files, only to find out 8 hours later that whatever I got was going to stay in demo mode, missing an important part, mislabeled, or otherwise non functional. And then by the time you find that out, you're capped for downloads for the day. Its not so much that I want things "right now" so much that I value my time more than I value $5 or whatever for a premium account.

 

I signed up on a 6 month using a credit card with 5% cash back..no problems whatsover and I've been using RG for a couple of years. Don't go the Paypal route cause they'll tag on a shitload of fees.

 

I just renewed my Rapidgator. Last year I piad 99.99 USD now they are charging a 20% fee 119.99 and on top of that They actually charged
my card 120.22. Totally a rip off now. Worse part is that 6 emails to support and billing has been just short stupid answers and not helpful as to why it's more now.

 

How did you get RG free for one year? I asked RG for a coupon when I renewed they said they don't have any.

 

You are lucky. They are really getting lame in regards for me and renewals.

 

Not a fucking chance. None of these so-called "services" are VPN friendly. Hence I would never waste $$ on any of them. There are PLENTY of completely FREE avenues available for obtaining clean scene releases elsewhere. There's no value add at all.

 

RG. Worth it.
