I was wondering if anyone had access to, or recomendations for older, late 90s early 00s, Mac VSTs. Not the ones that are continuously updated and still exist today, but smaller projects with more unusual sounds.

In particular I'm looking for Plugsound Free for hte Mac, but it is very hard to find for the PC, let alone a Mac.

 

Arturia Storm is pretty unusual sounding. I have legit 2.0 and 3.0 for pc and mac.

Interesting. It seems to be more of a full on daw, from what i understood from the video. I was hoping for a synth I could utilize in ableton.

 

Yes. Definitely an all in one type software. I was running this before Reason 2.5 hit (major update, much better). Brought back some memories lol. I'm sure that there are one or two freeware plugins that would still work in live floating around somewhere if you dig.

Just curious, why the enthusiasm for ancient plugs? Would unique suffice, or must they be old as well?

 

Are you running classic MacOS 9-?

 

I keep a mac classic with system7 only for running UPBEAT, a midi drum pattern editor a light year ahead the midi editors of the modern DAWs..

I remember plugsound... never saw them for mac. One great loss for me was all the TC electronic stuff

I use the latest OS, but I have an old 90s Mac just sitting gathering dust that I had been thinking about trying to incorporate into my set up some how.
