The music industry probably funded this nonsense. It might make sense if ANY of these artists actually would get any of those extra profits they are supposedly losing but I'm sure they don't want people getting bogged down with such details.

Such a sad story and one similar to the movie industry. Here's where they're at today:
MPAA Revenue Up 50% As “War on Piracy” Cranks Up

    Then mull over this one:
Copyright Monopoly Disintegration Inevitable As It Only Takes A Single Country

Now scurry off to your masters and tell them that their time is almost up.

Someone who has worked with so many successful artist should have an easy 50 grand in the bank. Regardless, I still love the marketing behind the concept and using those big names to push Count's agenda in getting people to donate is legit (Marketing wise). Because trust me, if it was just some average joe with no credentials, this flick would have a hard time gathering funds. All I'm saying is that something like this is not possible without uber marketing tactics.

Musicians always have struggled and been the bitches of the music industry.
Now the industry suffers and is bitching (sorry for all the swearing  )!

    Who gives a f... !!??!! :dunno:

I don't understand people crying they can't live from music anymore.

I make music on a cheap computer with cheap software from my warm home.
I need two days for one track! That is 16 hours.
If I can sell 200 copies, that makes roughly 200Euros !
100 Euros for a day work. That is what a normal worker earns too.
Sometimes you sell more sometimes less.
Depends on the quality you produce...

    SO, that's it !!!

A musician will now make the same money as a normal worker...
    I think it's fair !!!
...but maybe I'm the only one to think so ???

Try to stay away from labels.
Keep your rights for your music to yourself.
Sell your music on your own.

Here is a cool site that sells all your music online for you,
on all major sites, including iTunes and Beatport.
You get 80% and keep all rights !!!
    http://youtunez.com/

Usually it is the other way around, when you sign with a label.
They get about 80% and you 12-20%, and also loose part of your rights.

    Cheers

Think I came a little too late to this here party.

A lack of sense to this thread is all I currently perceive? :dunno:

There again, an awful lot of the parties I attended in the flowering days of my youth had a similar ambience, that of confusion. Maybe that was something to do with the chemicals, however, I`m pretty sure that isn`t the case here. :wow:

I think it best if I check with my good lady wife, she usually knows that which escapes my perceptions. *yes*
