Nice laptop. Can it handle 2 instances of serum with trap patches?

I own that one!, I like it a lot, use it on most vocal groups.
The low-end bump does not bother me as much since I use it in parallel, I like the smudge the saturation adds in combination with the bump.
I do mainly Hip-hop/pop vocals, usually aggressively low cut vocals and tame the fundamental frequency's on the individual channels.

however, in my opinion the compression action sucks on El-ray. I usually add Cakewalk ca-2a after it and call it a day.

I'm interested what kind of computers are u guys running?
    please don't tell me a dual-core or an i5 from 2009.

Edit: For the price of 1 Acustica plug-in, you could buy an AMD Ryzen 5 1600.
that can at least run 10 instances at once in 1 project.

The herd with their slow computers are dragging us all down.

I'd be dead without Reaper track freeze! I also use templates so the workflow isn't too bad in reality, and I have it setup like a real analog console with Neve/Api for tracking & SSL on the group/mix bus.

I like the color it has just inserted without doing anything.
Compression is fiddly. Strangely they left out shmod which is very useful for fine tuning but when it works its special.
The layer it puts over the source is very beautiful.

I have some Nebula libraries that I place after VSTi synths and it brings them closer to my analog hardware synths.

I think they should make external dsp power like uad. I admit that their plugin is good, but I don't know if I'll actually use it for work.

Man Acustica users are denser than the compressor sound Giancarlo promises.

Why would I use any restricting anal-mod plugins in a gloriouis Digital age?

Not AA plugins specifically, but imo while digital is great, it all feels lifeless and cold. Super clean mixes are very generic and boring. We need imperfections to bring out the human aspect of music and not feel like its all made by a robot (everything quantized, perfect pitches, perfect clean FX etc)

I'd say AA plugins specifically feel lifeless and cold.
On topic, that only means you don't know how to saturate properly.
Anyways, we had this back-and-forth how many times already? This time I wasn't even commenting on you specifically.
The human aspect of music is perfection. The kind even digital can't produce yet. Pitch sway, 12 EDO and other kinds of dirt is the ape aspect of music.

And yet you need plugins that are made specifically to saturate, while as early hardware did it naturally and is why they are so loved today.

Also heavily disagree on the perfection thing. Yes we do strive towards perfection however perfection is impossible in a pure human way. Robots/AI might make things perfect but again where is the humanity in that. Think of J Dilla for instance, yes he used a MPC and samples, however he humanized the tool rather than wanting to achieve perfection. He never quantized his drums, he used heavy high cuts, and chopped samples in a very unconventional way (by using the drums as markers on where to chop).

The Vectorial Volterra Kernels technology captures the non-linear nature of the original sampled analog hardware, and also the harmonic behavior.

    We listen to different music.

Anyways, there are a lot of purely digital tools with built-in saturation, often customisable. And there are even more saturators that way outpower all the analog counterparts. Meanwhile, "faithul to the original" analog modelled plugs combine most of the analog shortcomings with all of the digital ones.
I can comment on how saturation is also a part of perfection, but that's way too off-topic. We're on the different enough rails already.

Yeah I know, I do use some Nebula libs at times but again is such a CPU hog in the real world so it's kinda against the gifts of digital processing (multiplication mainly), so algo plugs seem to be the answer for now.

Oh 100%, don't think I'm against digital plugins. I myself use a combo of both kind of plugins (pure digital and analog emulated). In my opinion, however imperfections actually do make a perfect song (Obviously not referring to vinyl clicks and pops and other lo-fi approaches, as that is a musical style/decision).
