Nexus 3 has been working fine, until recently, maybe a few days, i just noticed today old presets now say that nexus is very outdated and must connect to cloud. At first I thought this was because I updated to Win 11 but same thing happened to friend on win 10. Any ideas? The supposed preset conversion IP was blocked the whole time it was working.

I have the same message now, on all the non-commercial banks I have (I have a 30,000 preset pack that I downloaded a few years ago for version 2.3.2, it was working fine in Nexus 3 up until a few days ago). I thought that I had to unblock that conversion IP address to get it working when I originally installed the cracked Nexus 3 though, and I haven't adjusted anything since. Are you sure your conversion IP was blocked the whole time it was working? I think it really does send the preset info to reFX to be 'converted'. Weren't people saying that Nexus 4 now sends their own presets back to reFX without asking them?

ps the 30,000 preset pack contains literally the BEST presets on any VST I've got, they are from all sorts of different producers, but many of them are unlike anything you've heard on other synths, but still really usable in songs.

 

Ya got same pack haha. 110% it was blocked in inbound windows firewall rules, confirmed by trying to unblock it and that was only a thought in my mind since this happened, it wasn't even in the thread as advice on release day when I installed. So either the rule wasn't working or something else is up. Fishy as my friend who I did the install for and has all the same stuff is in the same boat.

 

so we can say finally, this shit was either a. Timebombed, or chinese dudes fake license server no longer works and he stopped paying for it. Back to Nexus 2 i guess!

 

been trying to get nexus 3 to work all day. plug in loads , presets do not if anyone could help that would be awesome

 

There is a NEW option called "Cloud Sync" in Nexus 4 which does that.
From the manual:

I've disabled it from the preferences menu as my studio PC is offline most of the time.

for me still working, unzip these files and copy this files too:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\reFX\cloud

Also not forget to change the library folder in the file settings.json to your needs
D:\\NEXUS3\\reFX Nexus 3\\Nexus Content\\

The developers, after all, blocked the entrances, so that they would not use the shell from 3 nexus, with old extensions.
Online cloud conversion- no longer works. Thus, he fails to update the presets
I checked it myself.In other words, refx corrected the credentials because, MCFACT is associated with the old licensor.
Or return to the old shell nexus 2.Or I advise you to download nexus content from the 3rd version of the nexus, as well as extensions that have already been rewritten for the third nexus.

Interesting. Are you saying that one of the reasons for Nexus 4 might be stronger protection after 3 got defeated?

 

I will see if I can do it. I've just found that the 30,000 presets I downloaded sometime last year are not all the same as the 18,000 presets I had installed in my Nexus 2.3.2 presets folder, so I've copied the 30,000 across, and now I have 37,930. Some of those presets are from the original expansions that worked with Nexus 2.3.2, but the majority are home made ones from various 'producers', or whatever they call themselves. Just loads and loads of original sounds that you don't find anywhere else on any other synths. (Of course, there are lots of 'trap brass' and things like that, but just so many new and usable sounds. I've got Omnisphere, Nexus 3, Spire, Sylenth, hundreds of thousands of presets, but these Nexus 2.3.2 presets are just 'different', and really inspire me to write.)

I can confirm: 3.4.4 is working.
i found the 3.4.4 VST Pack and read the comments and "Readmes"
You also have to download the ~150GB Preset Pack where all Nexus 2 and 3 Presets are in there.

Than you have to place all files to their correct places.
This are 3 places in windows.
Then you have to modfify the settings.json file and add your path to the library
For example D:\\NEXUS Library
It was written, that the \\ double backslash is very important.

Works out of the box in W10 and Ableton 11
I just tested Lo-Fi Expansion. (Separate download)
And it sounds so good

 

The issue seems to be that the nexus 2 older presets are not working, anything released for nexus 3 is 100% functional.
