Just found on the r/edmprod subreddit that reFX have updated nexus, but it looks like they've only added some minor QoL changes, nothing too major. There isn't even a trailer on yt!

I've never hated a company more then REFX I honestly hope they go out of business .. I just got their voucher .. I've never had a better feeling uninstalling a software I payed for to download the cracked version with all expansions.. guess what this version doesn't Deactivate everytime I open it up...

 

Damn. Wasn't expecting this. But I will probably have to upgrade as much as I hate giving money to ReFX

 

Paid only one year ago for the nexus3 upgrade and now they want me to pay for a simple minor update pretending is an upgrade, really? This is how they treat customers.

I actually found nexus very useful, especially when you need to be fast for a customer, but the Company is just so greedy OMG

Guys, the news, however, I think is that Nexus 4 is no longer iLok.

 

They have been at Cloud protection since N3 (same with N4)

 

They Never used iLok.

With Version 4 also announced they will drop "Codemeter" protection.

 

Lol, changelog looks like just free minor quality-of-life update, why they sell this as new version?

 

I think they are shifting to the new Steinberg style protection

 

I am a reFX Nexus Lover all the Way, their Products and old Sample Librarys were used by all the big Names in whatever Genre.

 

But no more... Just checked EDM 7, same old 2014-15 sounds, this time they added a few future rave sounds, that's all.

Serum is the new Nexus now.

 

$99 for UI upgrade. Nexus 3 will do fine for me until a future OS won't support it

 

yep, i remember when led zep and pink floyd and rush were using nexus on all their records. muse, porcupine tree, dave matthews, metallica - you name them, they all used nexus.

Always the same old story. They had to do a "major" release update to tie upcoming expansion to the latest version of the plugin. Because peeps are addicted to new expansions they have to buy the overpriced update to use them. Brings big $ into ReFXs pocket with minimum effort. If you critisize them you are told to s.t.f.u. because you do not have to buy the update and can use N3 instead OR your are a fu***** bastard because you always want everything for free and can not afford the 99 bucks for the update. What a strange world nowadays.
