Today's music is everywhere. All the music that people are listening to now falls into today's music.:shalom:

@MMJ2017 He believes that using FX is a kind of composition. :dunno:
At least I think so because there is no clear statement.
You probably shall create your own definitions of his statements. :hahaha:

    Hi sir , happy Thanksgiving

You had made a statement before
    About new music

But , I'm asking for you to show that statement is about reality by showing just 1 song that works that way .

( I'm trying to think about your position and steelman it , but I can't find a single example of a new song that is as you describe. )

The only new songs that I can find are the opposite of what you are saying .

When you made that statement, you MUST have meant that at least one song matches your statement of " today's music " right ?
Can You put the link up to one?

( every new song i can find is language.
Its not JUST music theory , but the simplest type .)

I can't find " new music " that works the way you described.

( im just trying to see your view in reality)

Not only does " today's music " have the same structure of the past , its just a even more basic simplified version of the past .

( not saying that is good or bad just saying what is or isn't)

I think I gave the full answer, but I'll explain more if you insist.

Today's music is vocal-based or digital-based. Vocal and digital, in general, don't need complex music theory.

Most of the topics in music theory are related to traditional musical instruments. Of course, in the past, vocal was mostly used instead of instruments (such as Opera), but today's vocal music is more prominent in pop music.

Popular music, which covers a wide range of music, does not allow maximum use of music theory. Because popular music is so simple that there is no need to connect them with music theory.

Instrumental music is currently unpopular with the public, and therefore no one takes music theory seriously. Whenever people turn to instrumental music, then we can discuss the theory of music and the language of music and the like, but now that the world of music is filled with vocal or digital music, there is no such chance to refer to music theory and take advantage of it.

This video you sent was produced by someone who is a musician himself who believes in music theory and also knows him.

Adam is doing this to demonstrate his ability to apply music theory to deepen the singer's voice, and he's not aiming to commercialize it, and he's doing most of it as a practice.

Today's music doesn't allow music to be wrapped in theory in any way, shape, or form, and if music is complicated, it loses its listeners. The simpler the music, the more its listeners. Instrumental music is more complex than vocal music, and therefore its listeners are few.

Thank you for sharing the way that you understand these things .

If what you are saying is true in reality
It will be impossible for a song in
    " today's music "
To have been written in a key and to have chord progressions and impossible for the melody to be outlining the harmonic blueprint of that key .

Please provide an example of one song in
    " today's music "

That if you google what key its in or chord progression
    That vocal melody uses .
    You cannot get an answer
( because if its not in a key and has no chord progressions you can't google what it us for that specific song right?) LOL

In summary , pick a new song today's music

Google what the music theory is .

When you find one that google gives the answer

" sorry this song has no music theory its not THAT type of song "

Then post that song when you find it for us
    Thanks so much .
( i haven't found one , maybe you know one im not familiar then we could say 1 single song exists that meets your claim from before sir)

    Then , by " today's music "
That would mean " an example of a single song "

Today's music is totally random. Random Key, random melody, random chords and ...

The process that is random, there's no need to connect it with theory, especially in the field of music...

    Sorry ,
I just want to make sure I understand what you are saying .

    That " thank you next " a [ today's music ] song

Isn't in a key ? Has no chord progressions?
The melody does not outline that progression?

Its just Adam nearly " forced " music theory upon a song that didn't have music theory of its own ?

Just want to understand the intro where he demonstrates the key the original is in and its chords the functions ( that he was making that up , the song actually isn't music theory based song ?)

I can assure you that no one knows what he/she is doing. If something works seemingly, it works randomly not planned-ly.:)

I appreciate that you are talking about these things because I want people to feel like they can comfortably talk about these things and express themselves. Thank you .

I'm open to any view point , and I'll think hard on a presented perspective.
I would just like to invite someone else with a different perspective to be open to the possibility of other perspectives as well .
For instance, when I was very young I had already played lot of instruments and recorded myself and everything . ( including lot electronic
But I had an idea that music theory was a certain way and I stayed away from it .
But , overtime I realized It was my own misunderstanding that music theory was different than I imagined it was .
( this is why when I encounter a new perspective I try to think gard on perspectives different than mine )

" happy birthday to you ..."

That isn't built from music theory because its vocals ?

    You're welcome, my friend.

I know it's better to be aware of music knowledge than not to have it, but think about whether it's really any good to be aware in the present time?

Adam himself, if he was going to make commercial music, he would certainly turn off his brain and forget everything he knew about music and try to look at music in a simple way, because that's what listeners expect.

Most pop music and tunes have been made randomly throughout music history. Now, if you can find an item that seems thought-out, it's a rare case.

Hmmm. In my mind there is not a need for notes or letters written on a page for divergent musicians not speaking the same oral language to communicate musically. When the music is flowing from the heart and soul, thinking becomes something superfluous and even a hinderence to that very flow. Being thus in the moment is freedom from thought. Fingers move, lips blow, and the air moved and alive with the sound of joy, sorrow, or whatever each solomn moment expresses. If it is at all like talking then it is akin to talking in tongues, being grabbed, shaken, alivened by an unseen hand which tunes the common peghead of the gathered musicians and those within the spirit's earshot, in the moment whilst appropriate intervals between notes somehow are made manifest from the aethers.

    Shit just happens...
    No words needed...
    They've all been washed away.

Thats actually a very important thing .
    To bring up
The knowledge of music theory works just like our spoken language.
    You do as you say
( you have all the music theory information running in subconscious) like we do language.
And in the moment you are just expressing yourself.
I'm typing all this to you know with that knowledge of language running in background and im only think of the idea and then typing .
Music theory is same way .
Once you really get it down it just runs in the background .
To create music really feels the same as thinking of an idea and typing or speaking in the moment.
It doesn't feel any more difficult to write music than typing this sentence right now.
I could talk on a topic for 3 hours or compose music in real-time for 3 hours they feel the same.

( however people that haven't developed music theory understand have to compose in slomotion it may take months to write one song or a day for one song)

Just like a toddler may take a long time to speak .

Music theory really does offer something that cannot be had in someotherway .

It is based on the HZ of a note .
    ( frequency per second)
So if its a vocal or any other instrument the music theory is based on the vibration .
Happy birthday , player on 1700 different instruments is a basic cadence in the key of G major

( the music theory is the physics of how the song works just like science describes the physics of reality)

It's dangerous to answer this question so please let me not answer it.:winker:
I accept everything you said, but consider that now all the basic materials of music are available to everyone (loops, samples, packs, ...), and if someone makes a random choice and puts them together, it's going to be faster than someone who wants to go forward with thought.

In the past, musical materials were scarce, and everyone had to use their own knowledge and do everything on their own. But right now it's all ready, and it's just that you accidentally take those materials and stick them together. So the speed is high and there's not much need for music literacy.

I really like the thoughtfulness of what you are saying here and it's philosophical implications.
Right there is a great thing to spend time just thinking about your point thanks :)
