I had a friend who, upon a dare with his father, changed Leonard Limoy's article to add he played the accordion as a kid and regrets not having kept it up into adulthood. He kept modifying the article as it was taken down. He even created a fake blog post to source.

It ended up with an interview of Leonard Nimoy explaining he had never played the accordion in his life.If I'm not mistaken it was among the last interviews he'd given, if not THE last one.

I haven't actually verified his claim, but I had no reason to doubt him.

So yeah, Wiki is not 100% reliable. But if you know how to do actual research, it's very easy to check the sources. In that sense, it can be reliable.

Dude, they're Eventide. They changed the digital fx game forever. Of course they can achieve whatever they want. Heck, they could even sleep with my wife if they wanted to.

And then she could end up with some very impressive new special fx.
    Maybe a win-win?

Yes I hear you but keep in mind that a large proportion of people on here grew up with actual encyclopaedias and a similar amount of younger people won't have done research and will take many things literally, not knowing the difference until much later.

I hear you too. But there's a bright side to it as well. Young people who actually know how to do proper research also exist. There are tons of sites, blogs etc. with great research

If that was the case I would've taught her some production skills, but she still hates electronic music

I wish everyone knew how to critically think then you & I would probably never have needed to discuss it at all. :)

Is DMG Audio EQuick a transient EQ?

For those who want to see why I thought Kush Electra was a transient EQ watch this video.

That's the hardware version though. From what I understand @No Avenger was referring to the plugin version.

Btw, how beautiful are Kush's designs? And they sound amazing too. If I were a rich man I would have entire racks of Kush.

  14. Hello, I am new here, thanks for having me. Don't be angry for me bumping an old thread.

I just wanted to say that I loved SplitEQ and now I use it everywhere. I also got Quantum day 1 as I am a Wavesfactory fanboy, but I actually have some issues with its transient detection which I think could be solved with a longer hold time, which I am pretty sure they are not going to introduce. I get too many phantom transient hits, so I shy away from it a little.

SplitEQ isn't great because it does anything technically groundbreaking, necessarily, I just like the package. I do dislike the latency, but I don't use it for live stuff so for me it doesn't really matter.

Funnily enough, I came here after a quick Google search to see if it has auto gain compensation like Claro, which I also like.

Can vouch for this one! Also way lighter than Eventide.

Anyone tried the Utu or Haave from Wavegrove?
