So I've managed to get R2Rs keygen working for 4.3 but I really wanted Amplitube 5 working

I've tried the automatic activation (windows) button on the keygen and it doesn't work. Next step was to manually generate the authorization request via the IK authorization manager and then use the keygen to create an xml file. When I do that at the end of the authorization manager it says custom shop is ready for use -- is it supposed to say custom shop or amplitube 5? Regardless, when I open up amplitube standalone or the plugin in my DAW it doesn't unlock everything. I've only got the base amps and pedals and whatnot. I first downloaded and tried 5.0.1 and then 5.1.0 but same result. Trying to get my hands on 5.2.0b now.

These were the instructions provided by R2R which i followed -- yes the second part is for MacOSX but it should work on windows too

Also could someone link me to the website that shows each of R2Rs releases so i can be at least a little more confident that what I'm downloading has been released by R2R?

I would skip 5.2.0b, because it seems to have a registration problem.
I tried it first on my current setup and I got the same warning.
Then I tried it on a clean Win10 install (Few programs installed & no previous IKM products).
It gave the same warning on that, and the comments on Sister Site seem to validate the problem.

I uninstalled this 5.2.0b and installed the 5.1.0 from 2021.09.16 and it works fine.
I am logged in as admin, but tend to run keygens ,etc as admin anyway to make sure ..

AND TURN OFF your antivirus while you do this, in case it does not warn you that it is blocking the process.
Defender warned me on my machine, so i turned off real-time protection during all this.

Also make sure to choose to authorize the PROPER VERSION version (or go ahead and authorize everything in the list if you want - hahaha.) A user mentioned that there is NO CHOICE for 5.2, so maybe that is a clue to the problem (maybe not, though, as often the keygen works with later "Product.x.x" versions).

I got the 5.2.0b from somewhere and I found that it doesn't have the right selection in the dropdown menu like you said. I still have the 5.1 version and it doesn't work for that -- I'll keep trying on the 5.1 version though.

I'm logged in as admin, I ran the keygen as admin, I turned off avira (my only antivirus), and i selected the right version where possible. still nothing.

When you say defender do you mean windows defender or something made by windows? I will look again if i can disable the stock windows defending program, couldn't find it before but i didn't think it was running in the first place.

How do you activate: automatic or do you do the manual method with the authorization key?

PS i found windows defender to be inactive, the only thing left is my firewall which couldn't be the problem.

I never have done a manual activation for IKM products. It has always been "automatic registration" as far as I remember.
Yes, Defender is the antivirus included with Windows10. And, if you are actually able to run the keygen and it says "successful" it makes me think Antivirus has not interfered.
I am pretty sure the registry key for registration is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5
I can delete that, run the installer again and it is reproduced.
You could try looking at that key (to verify its existence)

Just in case there is some element of Avira that is preventing the registry getting written.
You could even delete that key (just the "\Amplitube 5\" part of course), and let the installer write it again just to be sure it is not a leftover registry key...

I am not sure what else to suspect...

Nothing's working. I even tried deleting my antivirus (avira) to do this. I deleted the registry folder each time before running the keygen. I deleted custom shop registry folder too just for the hell of it, still nothing

One thing I have noticed is that automatic registration creates ~100? reg_binaries while when i do the manual method, I get about 3 or 4 entries. Not sure if that's pertinent given neither work...

How to install the " IK Multimedia - AmpliTube 5 Complete v5.2.0B " for Windows

STEP 1
1.) Un-install Amplitube 5 -> C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5 -> Use "unins000"
Delete: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\IK Multimedia
2.) Download the CCleaner and clean your PC and Registry -> (Take a look at the pictures below) www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner
(You don't need to go into the registry.)
3.) Restart the Computer
4.) Stop you Antivir Software and download the latest Amplitube: IK Multimedia - AmpliTube 5 Complete v5.2.0B - 12.10.2021

STEP 2
If you use an antivirus program with an antispyware module, you no longer need Windows Defender.

2. Switch Real-time protection to Off. Note that scheduled scans will continue to run. However, files that are downloaded or installed will not be scanned until the next scheduled scan.

Thanks for the help BEAT16. I followed your steps religiously and still nothing... It's all locked. I thought it would work after using CCleaner. The only thing I had open is dropbox and google drive. My OS is win10 build 19042. I just can't see what the problem is. It says 'successfully registered' but everything's locked. I'll try this all again with the 5.1 version next week when I have some time. Oh and I'm trying to use the VSTs in FL studio.

Absolutely nothing running. I installed v5.1 this time, used the keygen set to 5.1 and still nothing. No unlocks. Tried the manual authorization afterwards, nothing as well.

The only thing I can note is that I got some different messages after opening the plugin in FL studio. Just something saying that I would need to restart to use the effects in trial mode. Probably insignificant...

I'm also a bit weirded out that I'm getting googledriveFS registry errors... might be malicious?...

 

IK Multimedia is MAC adress based activation if memory serves, so you need an active network adapter, and if you change that, you lose the activation...

 

Yes, it says I don't have internet access in that screencap because I was doing the manual authentication at that point (you can't have internet access to get the authorization file).

I assure you I have (at least now) done exactly what was said and it doesn't work.

Everything is closed. No antivirus, no windows defender. Nothing. Restarted computer. CCleaner used to clean registry and custom clean. Used the keygen on 5.1 with a 5.1 install by using the automatic authorization. Still nada.

 

If you are on Windows you do not need to disconnect from the internet...

When I press the lock button (account?) on amplitube 5 I get this message.

In order to be able to install and uninstall IK Multimedia products on
your Windows computer, you must be a user with Administrator rights.

Activate admin account (Windows 11, 10, 8 and 7)
Via command prompt
The quickest and easiest way to activate the admin account in Windows is with the command prompt:
1. Press the key combination [Windows] + [R] to open the Run window.
2. Type in cmd, but not yet confirmed.
3. Now hold down the two [Ctrl] + [Shift] keys and confirm with [Enter] at the same time.
4. Confirm the message with "Yes" to open the command prompt with administrator rights.
5. Enter the command net user administrator / active: yes and confirm with [Enter].
6. Optional: Sets a password for the admin account with the command:

If you've done everything correctly - it looks like this:

 

Did not work:

1. I am definitely already an administrator and have been running everything as admin manally (via right click)
2. I uninstalled the program then deleted all the files in documents, appdata and program files
3. cleared registry of amplitube 5 manually via regedit
4. Used ccleaner to fix any registry problems found
5. Deactivated antivirus, and kept the window open because sometimes it seems to reactivate
6. Closed all programs
7. Reinstalled amplitube 5.1
8. Opened keygen as admin and chose amplitube 5.1 then pressed automatic registration (windows)
9. Opened FL Studio, scanned for new VST
10. Opened amplitube 5 in FL, everything locked

I talked to another user about the possibility of my router or adapter settings causing a fault because the registration uses a MAC address apparently. I don't think this could be the problem because I've tried doing it both with the internet dongle connected and disconnected -- nothing. Even tried disabling the adapter in network properties while doing it and still nothing.

Any more ideas???????

ALSO: Why would the amplitube 4.3 register but not 5.1?
Is there a different cracking process?

I downloaded my Amplitube 5 from TPB from a trusted source.
I will try the audioz download but i really think it's exactly the same

My friend had some kind of problem like this and he found out it was his google drive the problem as his documents folder was google drived which in turn changed the documents folders file path naming conventions and messed most his cracked installations up. Just a thought.. may be way off but..
