    cd \
    dir /b /s | find "FX"

The | is the pipe symbol (vertical line).

Use find /i "FX" if you want to catch both uppercase and lowercase characters.

Hi, this is not the most elegant solution but it will work.

You'll need to download and install "Everything" from here; https://www.voidtools.com/

I wouldn't normally put forward a solution that needs additional software but "Everything" is an unbelievably fast, light, efficient and powerful search tool that you'll wonder how you ever managed without it! It can be 'installed' as a portable app if you'd prefer.

Once you have it installed, you can restrict the search to folders only (Search > Folder) as well as matching the whole word (Search > Match Whole Word) etc

This will give you a list of folders matching your search criteria, in this case named "FX". I'm not sure if this meets you criteria to showing them in one place? If you actually want the folders to be located in one place then you can then cut and paste the folders shown in the search list wherever you like.

    Hope that helps.

I'm using voidtools Everything https://www.voidtools.com/ to find any file or folder immediately. You'd need to install and let it scan your drives first and of course get used to use it. But I can highly recommend it for future searches, nothing beats it speed-wise.

EDIT: [IMG] @Chichan beat me to it for a moment.

Everything is a fantastic tool, I use it everyday. Totally agree with Chichan.

It baffles me why Windows doesn't go ahead and make the standard Windows Search just as good...

without, copying (which is sensible), you could just add, by rightclick, any folder into the
    quick access part of explorer.
    Another handy tool is https://www.codesector.com/directfolders
the same as quick access but you take it wherever your mouse is.
www.codesector.com/teracopy i used for a couple of years, now i use
https://fastcopy.jp/ which is even smaller and faster
    and last but not least
Directory Opus the Ajatolla of all file explorers:winker:

I use TeraCopy too. Great to see people on this forum being really switched on to these tools. Perhaps we should start a thread and share our knowledge.

I wasn't aware of fastcopy, thank you for pointing that out.
