My inner voice when reading something sounds depending on the person writing...
For example if the guy as got a anime girl as profile picture, my inner voice when reading his message will sound like a high pitched kid´s voice.

So you get the idea...

Isn't this quite a multi-layered question?

For instance, my normal "inner" voice sounds like my normal speaking voice, but as it happens we hear it differently when the sound is conducted by our skull to our ears in comparison to how other people (or microphones) hear it.

So there's two "inner" voices already, but sometimes my inner monologue becomes dialogue where I have several "parts" or "aspects" of my mind discussing stuff.

Then there's the "external inner" sounds, the kind of "voices in your head" you most often get discussed in mental health problems.

Now to me the internal discussion bit is normal, but when I hear things externally that other people won't means often that I'm going off my meds.

 

We are all dichotomies. That partial schizophrenia is what makes us human.

My inner voice is always telling me to do the most terrible things in very grandiose, creative and imaginative ways.

Good thing the outer voice finds it comical and ridiculous for now and can appreciate how disruptive such actions would be.

If we ever create a world where those actions become common or the world itself is so disruptive that it doesn't matter they probably could switch places quite easily. I think that is normal for most humans.

 

My inner voice is Mister Ed.

 

But if someone wants a proper deep dive into how the "internal dialogue" might work (I don't know personally as it's not my field), I highly recommend the book The Origin of Consciousness in the Break Down of the Bicameral Mind by Julian Jaynes. (Free e-book these days!)

My inner (thought) voice has a highpass at about 200hz. No idea why... actually i have a pretty bassy voice. I probably just remained a child inside.

 

on the contrary, I have two voices, female and male, drugs and alcohol made these two characters get laid and of course so high stoned and unprotected...... now I'm in trouble, there are six, 4 females, 2 males....

 

Do they also sometimes... well, you know... adult stuff ? Like... playing in the sandbox?

 

The inner voice is a fascinating subject and I recall somebody saying 'if your inner voice is you, who's listening?' Of course, we're listening to ourselves but the process suggests almost a dual mind-state and maybe relates in a real way with people who suffer from dissociative identity disorder.

my inner voice knows a lot of bad words.

The day only has 24 hours for everyone. You can maybe work more than 9 hours a day. You can also work faster.

 

Sometimes while looking at the mirror, it feels like I am watching someone else

 

I forbid them to play in the sandbox! All the cats in the neighbourhood do their poo in it!

 

I can't say that.
But i am sure I've confused my inner voice for a while with those methods.
