To be honest, I'm very surprised by R2R's choice to release these Avid products without actually releasing a real Pro Tools. Considering the importance and the long time that has passed since the last break, I personally find this choice unfortunate, bordering on the incomprehensible. It was enough simply not to release anything, like these years after all, or to release everything related to Pro Tools together. These choices in general are typical of Team V.R, I have never seen AiR or AudioUTOPiA, or the same R2R in the past opt for this choice. Oh well, they play the game, they the rules.
Look, I understand you. In fact when I saw the Avid Complete Bundle I was super happy, but then I stayed... ATM there is a bit of disappointment, but I sincerely hope for the better in the future. We are super lucky to have R2R with us. And this is the most important thing IMO.
If not enough comes, i can still fill it up with budget H265 transcodes of series and movies. (This will become my own local Netflix/disney + :D)
I don't think we've seen the end of it yet, why would they post the retail version unless they have a crack for it?...it doesn't make sense, the plot thickens.....
Daft question, but was it that the version on the avid website being newer meant the patching wouldn’t work, and the unlocker is for that version only? Or so when avid somehow changes the license to combat the release, there is still a way to run it?
Well, that could be part of it, but I don't think so, you can still download installers for older versions, or you could anyway.....I think they either have a working crack for that version, or one is in the making, the crack in the AAX unlocker only works with a legit PT First license
There is Black Friday, Christmas and New Year. Personally, I think discounting R2R on anything at this stage is illogical based on their prior consistency. For whatever anyone says about the extended ProTools, comparing it against V.R's completely unstable release of extended Cubase elements it is like comparing a Ferrari to a pushbike. Meh - I am going to wait until 2022 starts before I'd even consider any negativity toward R2R because so far, they do not deserve any from where I sit.
It kinda is an 'extended' but it's a great extended. I'm sticking with 12.5 AU until/if R2R release a proper full ultimate as, for me, HEAT is essential to what I do (It's in every mix going back years and I'd have to redo everything + HEAT just rocks and makes my mixing life easier so I'd sadly have to stick on 12.5 with less features if it was the only way to retain HEAT. 12.5 has been my best friend for years thanks to AU so I have had it good already, but R2R could make things PERFECT if they hold a nice PT related card up their sleeve this black friday!
I hear you. If you have done all your mixes using HEAT and its 1st, 2nd and 3rd level harmonic generations which is one of the better analog emulators out there, then all of your gains will be completely wrong without it, not to mention the frequencies, balances with different tracks and tones will be shot. In your situation, I'd do exactly the same thing. I reckon everyone should consider what I have suggested many times in this massive thread and just watch, wait, and see what R2R brings into the table by the beginning of next year. None of us are clairvoyants yet a lot of people seem to attempt it.
I have all the faith in the world it's possible now. I don't know what the plan is and don't pretend to but after Reason and Pro Tools, I think everything is possible now.
I want to see if they have a crack at Falcon, Spitfire's engine and east west's. That might be too tall an order but I won't be surprised if you see Steinberg come up by the end of the year.
Was hoping exactly that. With Pro Tools, I ate my words and so did my memes but I would shit my pants if Cubase happened. Falcon would be a dream as well. Last edited: Nov 3, 2021
Again, Eastwest and UVI players are protected by Eden (a crypto for samples), without supply nothing would happen.
i belive in a r2r ilock emulator, then . . . you can run legit-retail programs with no cracks, all ilock protected apps will be defeated without manipulation because ilock send to the program the correct instructions, like when we buy the program . . . and that is the gong . . .
First, that's only partially correct. I own below so you are wrong in one aspect. Secondly, how do you think anything becomes available? Materializes out of thin air? Of course they need copies in order to do it. How do yo think anything they've done has become available??? They get a copy of it. The sister site regularly puts full versions of apps up that are not cracked. Sheesh.
