Hi guys,like in the title,wich you prefer between the two?
I'm demoing Spiff cause i listen many good thing on that and i think they can be complementary.
Which are your experiences with them?

 

vs Shape Modifier + SMTeq combo. game over.

 

I have both and I much prefer Spiff. Its way more flexible and faster to dial in. The clippers on Diamond Transient are nice but if you want a good clipper just get StandardClip. It's like $15 if you subscribe to their email letters.

 

Both are completely different. AA DT is captured from an existing hardware (DBX 3BX but with more options) and has its own sound and limitations. Spiff is purely digital and more versatile but can't produce DT's sound.

 

This, And I would add too that, if I had too replicate what Diamond Transient does on the master buss. I would grab newfangled punctuate
and a good (stack of?) clippers, Standard clip and or kclip3.

newfangled is underrated because its so surgical. but punctuate is the best at surgical transients. it does smudge the stereo image a little so just one and done before stereo imaging
