movies are a cool past-time , one and a half hour sometimes 02:40:15 seconds runtime with hidden scenes after credits , anyway visiting the theatre with your girfriend or bros is always enjoyable ,yesterday i saw dune with my bunch at some 3d i max theater ,yes the movie and actors is amazing , epic , all that was missing was some massive battle at the end

however i have noticed that truly epic movies usually stand on really good soundtracks, congratz to the bros that produced such strong melodies ,

some of my best soundtrack melodies are

    awesome movie

    Flight with Denzel Washington

    El laberinto del fauno

    Berling Calling 2008

    arrival

i will post as i find or else i will wav-rip what i mean

these tracks are truly epic , put to shame what the 1600-1900'ers have as a standard to classical music

Nor my favorite movie nor my favorite soundtrack, but it did leave a non-extinguishable mark on my teenage soul at the time. The birth of epic....

There is a confirmed second Dune film that will cover the second part of the book. They might even make a third. So, no worries, just patience.

Yeah, of course they'll do a second to finish the story. But I didn't know, I'd have waited.
It's like a great sex session and suddenly in the middle the girl says "great! we'll finish a year from now!! Bye byeee" and leaves you with a biblic giant boner for good

Some faves of mine, as far as original soundtracks:

Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049
    Tron: Legacy
    Inception
    Interstellar
    Dredd

Definitely a fan of Hans Zimmer, and of course a lot of John Williams great soundtracks from the 80s/90s.

Probably among the densest atmospheres I ever experienced in a movie because of the soundtrack, very somber and dark:

Used in "Sunshine", "Kick-Ass" and also in Wonder Woman '84, which had a Hanz Z. soundtrack.

Almost any score by Alan Menken.

I personally liked that it isn't just a single movie. It should make for a more thorough telling of the story, and not so rushed. I really liked it. I read reviews beforehand and knew that it wasn't a finished story. I thought they ended it at a pretty good point though, and it has me excited for the next one. I hope this does really well, to ensure that we really do get a sequel. I haven't seen anything to say that a sequel (or multiples) have been green lit yet, though. But given how good the first one is, I'm sure it will happen.

I will say though that I'm not sure many people noticed right in the first 3 mins, you're hit with the title of the movie... Dune *Part One*. A lot of people missed that, I think, as it seems many complain the movie ends abruptly, but again, I think it ended in a good spot.

Anyways, back on to the topic of soundtracks.. I liked the Dune soundtrack, as well. Big shocker.. Hans Zimmer generally really does it for me.
