Are you working with it? When did you realize its a game changer, did you need time to grow on you or was it the sound that instantly convinced you?

Is this a screenshot of the free version with a third-party library or it's full version?

It was the opposite for me. I sold all my Acustica after realizing I could make better sounding mixes without it

now im waiting for kit plugins to fix their neve - it is impossible to replicate that saturation and it's beautiful.
that sort of thing is the future

Nebula (Kernel Volterra Engine) it's THE best thing in the box for audio processing. Those who claim CPU use just don't know a shit about analog audio and how will CPU hungry real LEGIT emulation of simple lowpass 24 oct filter in digital domain. Nebula have best from both worlds now - legit phase response of sampled device and affordable CPU usage. If you computer can't handle Nebula (Acquas) you better upgrade your old ass calculator. My pretty old AMD FX8320 (not even E revision) with intelegence Overclock in Reaper work with Acustica stuff pretty well. I can't imagine how dope it will be when i can afford my PC upgrage. So stop whining over here.

Its a paid library from Cupwise with the Azzimov skin.
You can find it on the sister site.
Sound wise up there with Uhe and IK tapes, although i usually prefer it over the other two.

Game changer. Pretty sure your DAW will have a freeze option or allow you to print/bounce. 1 home studio setup is literally all you need to compose, mix and master a great track now, its crazy.

    Acustica/Nebula? not good for ME.
Besides the cpu usage, I say to myself why should I limit myself? every analog and simulated analog eq has its own workflow AND limitation... but I can do what I want with just pro-q. An eq like pro-q can be a Pultec, SSL, or... and if I want saturation I can load up Saturn... every detail is under my fingers. same for compressors and...
its end of 2021, speed and flexibility is important :guru:

Just my 2 cents, but Nebula is IMO by far the best plugin for audio. There is no competition.

I dont agree with the "Technology advances increasingly making Acustica coding obsolete". Its not about technology. Its about the behavior of a specific piece of hardware. Its about harmonic distortion and dynamic response. Just try to scan LA2A by Timp P preamp in Plugin doctor. Its fuckin insane, the response is dynamic and you see the curve moving alone while its supposed to be static

Tim P, Alex B, Cupwise an AITB are really top tier, and I value them way higher than Waves, Slate or Sonnox for example. (Again, its just an opinion)

Logically speaking, wouldn't using one algo EQ plugin be the very definition of limiting? It's just a good clean graphical EQ, but it lacks character that is sometimes needed, especially when boosting. I use it daily, but I'm experienced enough to understand it's limitations.

Saturn unfortunately only saturates like Saturn, it fails to saturate like a Manley Vari-Mu, it can't saturate like a 1272, lacks the API 2520 upper mid saturation, and totally misses the Requisite tube saturation. You wrote your opinion like you've never sat behind a real console and driven real hardware. If you had that experience you would understand that digital algo plugins as tools have limitations, Nebula fills in some of those limitation gaps.

While speed and flexibility are important, never loose sight of the fact we deal with sound energy, so sound quality is also important IMHO.

It's great to have tool options, I appreciate Nebula for providing us all a massive tool option library.

It's advanced dynamic convolution technology, exactly what technology has made that obsolete?

Agree! With developers like Apogee, UAD & Antelope offering on-board DSP processing and, UAD now having lower priced interfaces that offer analog Preamp & Compressor staging, Acustica is definitely going the way of the Dodo if they continue on their current development path.

UAD, Apogee, Antelope, Lindell, SSL to name few.

Even Steinberg/Yamaha are developing DSP based hardware that could yield new emulation technology if they stick to it.

Don't get your pantys twisted in a knot...My exact statement was "Technology advances increasingly making Acustica coding obsolete."
    Not that it is obsolete.

Have you tried the free Burier plugin from Kitplugins?

The way a piece of hardware or, software behaves is all technological design.

you are right, I never touched any kind of analog gear. but it's not necessary to use analog gears or simulation of it to make sound good... we must know what we want and how to make it.
saturn was an example, we have an ocean of saturation plugins.
what I'm saying is I don't want the character of an api, ssl,... I can make my character, if I want.
even I can kinda make the nonlinearity behavior (in bitwig).
everything has its own limitation but for ME full-digital is faster and efficient.
sorry for my bad english, and sorry to OP if my replies are Irrelevant.

The only libraries I use somewhat regularly is Tim P L-bus and U76. I would use Nebula EQ's more if they weren't a pita to use.
