What are some awesome, but lesser known VST/AAX plugins?

    tcStretch : a PaulxStretch stuff
    tcARPgen and Mbiragen : really special notes generators
    Nova3 : a note generator like the free Transition
    Boids: a crazy granulator delay

    I agree, it is not productive nor necessary to download any more VST's! I simply enjoy learning how a lot of them work, but I am not expecting to change my workflow too drastically unless I find a new one that I really love haha. Luckily I have ample space on my computer, so I can kinda just give them all a try!
    I also really love the NI & Goodhertz products -- one other set of plugins that comes to mind is the Newfangled bundle, love using a few of those bad boys on my master chain.

    I don't make music - restoration stuff mostly - but I would suggest:

    Zynaptiq Unfilter (for restoring flat/phone recorded/audio w/o bass)
    Sonible frei:raum EQ (Prefer this older version to "Smart Eq" - gives you 3 "magic" nodes and comes up w/ a best fit EQ to start)
    Flux Alchemist 3 - To give awesome pop

    Three I go to pretty often that I don't see typed about much....(Unfilter in particular)

    Of course! I was going w/ "lesser known", but yea I use RX very often along w/ Adobe Audition. The Acon line of plugins are really good as well in spite of their lackluster GUIs.

    HoRNet & Voxengo make many good, stable, nice sounding plugins that don't get much attention. They are also relatively not that expensive.
