ATM being very careful what I do install, bc of the amount of plugins that I own vs those that I have a "deep(er)" understanding of how to use, which certainly impairs productivity. Far from being a no-name, but on a to-learn list:

instruments: Rounds, Prism, Razor and other less known Reaktor's stuff
fx: Goodhertz (always amazed when I try them, but for some reason not used much)

Anyway, I'd advise against "collecting" 'em. ;)

Ultraloop from Twisted tools. You can create the craziest mangled up loops from that. For some maybe a bit of a steep curve to use. But ones you get the hang of it it is fantastic. especially after you import your own loops. you can import up to 128 loops and mangle them up on 8 channels. Its to much to explain. go see for yourself :)

Waves is super underrated imo. My secret weapon.

FabFilter is also excellent yet seldom spoken of.

As for instruments, I recently discovered this plugin called Serum, it's really good. You can do sine waves, triangle, saw, square... Really the possibilities are endless.

A very good thread, I think we all should download more plugins. I only have 1200 installed. Let's dig!

Well, everybody's got their analog modelling, their wavetable and their FM things, and probably too many of them anyway.

But when I want something completely different, Sonic Charge's Synplant is always great fun, esp. with a controller to grow your plants without having to dick about with your mouse.

I must say that at least these are awesome.
Great gui and impressive synthesis power, even for today, and it seems to me they're on the market since long time (10yrs+ ?).

That's really interesting and surely fun.
If you like unconventional synths, have a look to Sugar Bytes Aparillo, a beast of its own.

Synplant, such a crazy idea - and you can create quite unique sounding sounds with it in a blind of an eye.

For me Massive just jumped out of focus, but recently i can appreciate it even more. Definitely lighter on CPU and apart from the small GUI, smaller feature set as Massive X, which can be an advantage, when creating sounds.

The KORG soft synth and FX and also all the Roland cloud stuff.
