Windows 10 is fine, if you tweak it a bit (Group Policy) and deactivate windows updates.

Won’t be doing it just yet.

got too many projects to finish anyway before I risk installing it.

    Looks nice though

No mate, in it's current state we need all the updates we can get. Start menu is a mess, task bar is a mess, system tray is a mess aswell and eLicenser is not working (that would be on Steiny though). I hope they deploy weekly updates to solve all this GUI shit they started

Well told ya on the other topic, its better to wait at least one year!
Did the same with Win10, had to install mid 2018.

Also i was talking about windows 10, where you can easily live if you are careful without any windows updates. Im doing this for years and system is rockstable, with like 3 blue screens in 2 years (actual one was due to an unstable program, which i have uninstalled)

Why is everybody so fancy on win11? Win10 works fine, turned MS shit off, uninstalled all these useless APPS.

Also when MS has changed so much in the OS (they did, you can already on TPM implementation), why expected anybody that its ready for daily usage, nevertheless for anything more specific than audio production?

I do not intend to install it because it is not known whether all cracked programs will work.

I'm actually running the Dev release with no problems so far, I copied my Windows 10 partition to a new SSD and upgraded it, so far, so good

I've not had the first problem with it.......sounds like you might have some system instability issues

For me it is working great so far, I like it, like the new design, core is same, but look is a bit different, really refreshing.

Everything works great, DAW, plugins, games, reliability, performance is ok.

I don`t have TPM and Secure Boot enabled, bypassed it just fine, works flawlessly.

Only issue I have is with the Start Menu, I really liked the one in Windows 10, this one feels a bit empty for my taste.
And I didnt like the centered taskbar, though I immediately set the Start button to the left where it should be lol.

Cant wait for the Android apps support to be included, so I dont have to keep my Opera GX opened for Messenger, instagram, WhatsApp.... and so on.

Has anyone tried the MAS with Windows 11 yet? As far as I'm concerned, the MAS work with Windows 11 (I can't remember where I read it; it must've been a reddit post), but I'm not sure. I'm interested in knowing if the OEMRET script works with Windows 11 as well. I won't be using the Home edition, no sirree.

If nobody's tried, I'll take the risk tonight and report back. I've already made backups.

Not that I need Windows 11, but, you know, for science.

Windows 11 is great. The bottleneck that was in previous versions when extracting large files to external hard drives is gone and it's now really fast. You can also change the taskbar so it shifts to the left, just like on Win10.

There is a very good reason with any new operating system update to desktops, that corporate and institution environments only test on machines off the main network and roll them out as much as 18 months after the release date.
You'll probably find the I.T. department guys with them on and there's a good reason for that. If it screws up, their environment is set up in such a way that it does not affect every user on the network and if it did, they wouldn't have their job for long.
You can bypass the installation check the same way as in other AS threads. It does definitely run and boot faster than 10 but as suggested by many others above - WAIT - for the dust, updates and stability and/or change of heart by MS to settle.

Gonna install W11 on an 'internet' & 'media' laptop to get used to it first. Did the same thing with W10 before replacing W7 on the studio PC. W10 LTSC & Enterprise (with de-bloat tweaks) have caused me ZERO issues. Not switching to 11 anytime soon because everything just works!
