Or just read up on the relevant music theory.
I'm sure I've said to you before, there are no backdoors to learning...
You are just flitting around learning pieces of things, otherwise.
I know this isn't your 'answer', but the truth should be of more use to you...

The easiest way, find a scale which has most/all notes of your melody. There are tons of websites, or tools which can do this. Pick a minor or a major scale, for simplicity's sake. Open a sub synth, play your melody pattern, and randomly try a single note from your scale. Begin with the root note (A is the root note of A minor scale for e.g). Now assuming your melody is 4bars long (and 4/4), choose 4 such notes from the scale, which sound good with your melody. Make them a bar long each, placing them one after other. Now copy these notes in a piano, and copy and paste it 7 intervals above your existing notes. Now you have a 2 note chord progression. You can add a third note at either 3rd or 4th position from the bottom notes depending on the notes available to you in the scale. That's it.

You have the most basic triad 4-chord chord progression.

Or just get unison midi chord pack and pick a chord progression for your scale

Just find a fitting scale & try a few chords from that scale. If you practice a little you will get better fast. Making chords from a melody or trying different chords with the melody is a really good practice, because it developes your hearing, something you cannot really learn just from theory books.

I don’t get why people don’t just learn keyboard or piano, seeing as most people with a DAW have a midi keyboard. You don’t have to get to the level of a classical pianist. It would take a few months to learn your chords and scales and now they tie together. Once you know the basics, you will hear the melody, find the key and get a feel for which chords work by ear

apologies if you already can play, but I mean it’s fairly simple stuff.

The amount of time people spend finding alternative ways to do these things, they could probably just learn it

Play the melody into Antares Autokey to detect the key (or Scaler 2)

    Then either...
In Captain Chords, choose the key and select chord progression preset that fits.
    or
In Scalar 2, choose the key, and then select available chords to fit around melody.

Or YT videos. But one does actually learn the principles from the books, and then practices it with ones mind and ears! lol. Obviously.
Yes, actual practical learning and practice would be good.
Genius! And I'm not being sarcastic! lol

To me these threads are like music theory is a caged animal, and the OP has his arm through the cage, right up to his shoulder, but whichever side of the cage he tries, he can barely touch the fur of the animal.
Yet he doesn't realise he has the key to the cage!
    lol.
Just making things hard for himself by avoiding the inevitable...
This is a mind-state problem, from my experience of teaching.

    Nope... still not understanding.
what have I learned from an interview with the employer? and I've no idea about the semesters and fully qualified staff either has to do with reading a book which I think is your overall point.

Maybe I'm just in an argumentative mood today? (this week) (this year) etc.

    Exactly!
And dupe posts are against the rules and worth warnings and/or points.
Supposed to do a thorough search before creating a new thread, according to the rules.
Lazy for rules, lazy for learning music.

    For me it's like:
Q: Chords from melody - any fast way?
    A: Yes: basic music theory.
