My best guess is when a lot of old people are gamers or ex-gamers.
You're right. On the other side there's quite some recent movies/shows that do the opposite. They are based on videogames related plots to attract young audience. Like the latest blockbuster "Free Guy".

Even though it falls under 'Nostalgia' in this thread, no Gaffer tape and Hamster jokes. This a PG thread. :hahaha:

Hamster was also supplied by Prominy - If I listen carefully I think I can hear its last gasps in there.

You only removed it when you had second thoughts about showing Xupito that Hamsters do great multi-instrumental blow jobs.
You can't tease him like that.:dont: We can't leave him guessing...

I did actually provide one of the very few serious comments in the thread.
While waiting for other serious comments, surely some fun is OK, and this is the Lounge after all.
    - where else do harmless wacky thoughts meander around? :dunno:
Now if/when Xupito sues us maybe that's a different story.:winker:

Now nostalgia is somewhat a matter dear to me, because I'm trapped in nostalgic loops, and this is something I don't like.
I mean, I like it, but more as a drug addicted likes cocaine.

I spend too much time looking at the past, thinking that the best is gone and nothing more is worth spending effort on.

It may be in part true because to be younger is in most cases better for many activities and opportunities, but the truth is that there are good events and bad events in any age.

Ancient romans used to say about this phenomenon "memoria praeteritorum bonorum" which translates as "the past is always well remembered (good)", no matter how bad it was (Oh the good old days...).
While I do not fully agree, I admit that many bad event of my past are at least sweetened, and at times forgotten.
Google for "rosy retrospection" if you want to dig in.

But to me about old music, yes, sure there is a nostalgic handle, but only let's say at 25/30%, maybe less. The rest because simply I like it, as I listen to today music if I like it.
If I listen "Africa" or "Shout" or "I'm not in love" it's not because of nostalgia, but because I fck like them.
I didn't live the 50's, nor the 60's, and yet I like Elvis, Berry, and many many others too.

Regarding tech, having used a lot vintage stuff (because digital was not a consumer option), I can say: fck them, I wouldn't come back even if the pay me.
    Digital forever.

My last thoughts about nostalgia: I consider it a kind of (lite) mental disease, because it stucks me too much on what I was, and not what I am, can or could be now.

I suggest to view this video, it's long, about 30 mins, but if you're interested in time amenities, it's for you.
