Anyone with the real hardware can share some comparisons between these couple of SSL plugs and maybe Celestial ? (or are we waiting for Ret )
I remember comparing Celestial with AccessAnalog's Fusion and couldn't tell much of a difference...

But Celestial is one serious mofo on the cpu @96k and master version

Dude, do you even know what you're talking about? Ceil and Big Ceil are the same plugin. The only difference is that the second one is an advanced version of the first one. Celestial is another plugin, Cerise is another completely different plugin. That person wrote you that you were wrong to call Ceil a "Fusion plugin". He wrote that even Big Ceil has nothing to do with Fusion. Celestial is Fusion! Ceil, Big Ceil - Focusrite, Celestial - SSL, Cerise - Neve.

 

Nope,i said its part of the Big Ceil bundle, they merged all the plugins you mentioned into one big pack, that was months ago.
Celestial is part of big Ceil, how hard is this for you to comprehend? Here a link from their webstore, i assume you can read.
Ceil is a small cut down version of Big Ceil.

Yeah big ceil plugin, i wrote about five more messages after that one explaining in detail what i meant so you are trying to start a feud that is not there. I am putting you on ignore.

hackerz probably just made a mistake by saying this once

while he said more than once that Celestial = Fusion and (Big)Ceil = ISA

Additionally, Big Ceil is a plugin, aswell as a bundle, which contributed to the confusion here.

 

if the non linear ssl plugins doesn't implement a form of oversampling, it will be a total scam to claim they are "meticulously modelled on the highly successful Fusion analogue hardware processors" since their analog counterparts doesn't alias at all

ssl has managed to come up with a proprietary algorithm that helps with achieving better results without the need of oversampling... at least in that particular plugin...

 

All I’m saying is I sold my fusion to continue using celestial.

 

I was specifically talking about their *non linear plugin emulations*, particularly this upcoming "fusion" line. eqs are linear systems, unless it's added some form of non linear implementation, so ur response doesn't address my statement.

 

Oversampling for Fusion

 

ok, nowhere in the ssl vintage drive video was oversampling mentioned, but I checked its manual, and it says that it has some form of oversampling implementation under the hood. it seems kinda strange that they don't emphasize this point much, knowing their marketing strategies, as how they overhyped their "propietary anti-cramping" implementation in x eq 2. if anything, oversampling should be one of the most important features of a non linear plugin, and in this case, the oversampling implementation isn't being explained at all. furthermore, applying auto-oversampling à la plugin alliance and not letting the user adjust for that instead, is a very bad way to implement oversampling. at least plugin alliance explains how many times the sample rate is being multiplied depending on the host's sample rate, but these guys haven't done that yet, and as usual, it's possible they won't do it ever, unless sufficient user pressure is being applied to them.

I mean, I'm just giving a state of facts, u were talking about their "proprietary algorithm" to handle cramping in regards to x eq 2, I was talking about the oversampling implementation in their non linear plugin emulation fusion line, maybe they apply a different implementation to handle aliasing and a different implementation to handle cramping in filter q's, that's why I was being specific in my statement, therefore I think ur "feeling" is unaccurate as well

 

You could have wrote this from the start friend, English isn't my native language it woudn't take mush to consider that and being a little bit more friendly won't hurt you i think, anyway point taken.
